Canale Hotel & Suites

We want to say a HUGE thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Canale Suites we had the most incredible time, from the moment we arrived we felt like we were staying with friends and family. A very special mention to Costa, Petros and Christina they were superb their dedication and attention to detail kind and friendly attitude was like nothing we have experienced before. The room was beautiful with a stunning view, with a jacuzzi on the balcony it took our breath away WOW. We want to thank Costa for his recommendations his knowledge of the Island was second to none and especially the fish restaurant Vinaries where we had the most fabulous meal in a beautiful setting. Also a big thank you to Petros for all his help and top tips of the best beaches and hidden gems on the island. He helped us with renting a car so we could fully explore, when we had a problem on one of the days we just rang him on WhatsApp and sorted it for us, nothing was to much trouble.He also booked front row sun-beds on Costa Costa beach which are complementary for guests which is stunning. Then we come to Christina the beautiful young lady who brought us breakfast every morning. She was always smiling and was genuinely interested in our what we been up to and what we had planned for the day. She tempted us with all the amazing food that had been freshly prepared everything was exceptional and never ending. We cannot recommend this hotel enough every single member of staff were incredible so thank you for an epic holiday we will never forget, it totally exceeded our expectations. We can only agree with the previous 100+ reviews saying how remarkable this hotel is. This was our first trip to Greece and we found the location in Argostoli to be the perfect base to explore Kefalonia. Our room was absolutely spotless and was kept this way every day. The room was really well soundproofed and all the fixtures and fittings were of a high quality, particularly the patio door to the balcony. The towels were lovely and thick, and were changed daily. The shower was powerful and there were complimentary Bulgari toiletries. We enjoyed the hot tub on the balcony and the lovely views. There are lots of cafes, bars, bakeries and restaurants within easy walking distance and we were lucky enough to see lots of turtles in the harbour area during our stay. We really enjoyed using the complimentary spa facilities in the sister hotel a few doors down. The best part of Canale is its staff. Every member of staff is professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble from arranging car hire to restaurant recommendations. Canale is so small, it very much has a family-run feel to it. We were even given a leaving gift as we left. An excellent experience, we would highly recommend a visit. This is a well-managed boutique hotel, focused on the guests, with activities/requirements efficiently organised by the staff at the main desk: whether you need a taxi, car hire, a visit to the adjacent spa, a recommendation for an activity, it will all be made possible with minimum fuss. The breakfast is varied and luxurious (don't expect the conventional UK bowl of cereal etc). The rooms a clean, interesting in design and very comfortable. The optional hot tub was a fun addition. For your lunch and dinner requirements there are many options in the town. It is not clear from the particulars, but the Costa Costa beach and bar (with very comfortable loungers) is 10 minutes in a taxi, not immediately in front of the hotel. The staff will organise your booking (and reserve you a good spot on the beach) - a very easy was to pass a day.

We absolutely LOVED this hotel!! Top notch property with an outstanding staff. Our room was on the top floor with a jacuzzi on the balcony overlooking the harbor. The room was super modern with a very comfortable bed. Plenty of space for our belongings. The breakfast was delicious and the first day they bring you a sample of everything on the menu. The entire staff delivered the highest level of service that we’ve experienced (better than a recent Four Seasons experience we had). I worked in the hotel business for a Global Hospitality Chain for over 20 years and was blown away by the service level, and all expectations were exceeded. The team did everything they could to make our trip memorable. We also enjoyed dining at their new Sister restaurant twice, delicious. Thank you to Kostas, Petros, Christina, Martina (?) and Spiros for everything. We will not forget our time spent at your hotel, it was a highlight of our 3 week trip through Greece. Alisa and Brad

We had the most wonderful time in Kefalonia. The Canales suites hotel was simply amazing. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and helpful, they really made our trip extra special. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the Penthouse suite. The hotel itself is very stylish and modern. The rooms exceptional, the beds are the comfiest I've ever stayed in. By the side of the bed is a controller for the automatic curtains so you don't even have to get out of bed to open them in the morning to see the beautiful view of the marina. Breakfast was incredible, all the staff were really attentive and helpful. On top of the amazing hotel we also had free reservations at Costa Costa beach. Simply tell reception the day before and they will reserve you sun beds right at the front and what a beautiful beach it is. I would highly recommend this hotel. If you get the chance to take a boat trip I would also recommend the Queen Bee 2. We had the most wonderful day which just added to our amazing time in Kefalonia. A special thank you to Christina, Maxine and Costas for making us feel so welcome (my partner even cried when we left)

This is a modern, high-tec, state-of-the-art hotel at the more relaxed North end of Argostoli. That does not mean it is cold and clinical - quite the opposite! It is one of the most congenial hotels we have ever stayed in. We had a very warm welcome from Martine and Petros, and were upgraded to a top floor suite - the same type of suite that we had booked, but with a better view. These suites are amazing - the absolute pinnacle of comfort, convenience and luxury. You soon learn your way round the technology - including opening the curtains with a switch by your bed! The jacuzzi on the balcony was a first for us! There's a very well stocked minibar and plentiful supplies of complementary tea, coffee and water. The rooms are fully serviced twice a day. There's great shower and one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Then comes breakfast, served by the wonderful Kristina. Quite honestly, it is the most wonderfully varied menu we have been offered in any hotel, in any country! Everything is a la carte and cooked to order. It is easy to eat far too much! I happened to mention that I liked loukanika (Greek sausages) and next morning, there they were! In the evenings they do not have their own restaurant, but their recently-opened sister hotel a few meters away has an excellent one, with tables by the waterside and a great 'modern-Greek' menu. The Canale is an exceptional hotel in every way. If you're looking for a spot of luxury in Kefalonia, look no further!
