It is to the point after 700 nights in the last 8 years I can tell within a few minutes of arrival if this hotel stay is going to be good or not. This one was a series of disappointments. First no e key, you have to park and go in, since I had to go in anyway opt to go ahead and self park, half the parking lot was being power washed so only some spaces open on level one, those who arrive later are about to find out parking will be a nightmare with the closed streets and construction around hotel. Went in 530pm two cues for lines but only one employee, HEY if you had e key this 15 minute wait would not have happened. Finally to check in- do I at least have lounge access? Oh a pipe broke it’s closed but let me give you a breakfast voucher. Since I leave at 6a and returned at 10a this isn’t helpful, and if you want a coffee or tea this requires more waiting in the bar. Gave me the voucher anyway and it went unused. Room was old style and worn. 40 minutes after check in an ekey appeared. You must have some real sketchy clients to go to this level of screening before one is deemed worthy. Really looking forward to downtown KC, moved for second night as didn’t want to get caught with on street parking.
