The agantuk hotel has beautiful rooms overlooking the valley, polite staff and wonderful, delicious food. The only problem is approach or road to hotel. It is 2km uphill from highway, and the road is in bad condition. The taxi walks ask 500npr extra just for last 2kms. Though the hotel provides free shuttle to highway, it's not always available. Having said that once inside the hotel campus, it's pure bliss. The hotel is not responsible for outside infrastructure too which is bad.

45 ride up to Narankot up a very challenging toad with spectacular view. Entry through a manned gate and then short drive to reception to be with welcome scarf and cool drinks. Unusual in the fact that the resort does not have reception/ check in/out desk but check in was a swift and efficient process and we were quickly whisked away to our villa by buggy. Resort is built on a hill so prepare for a few stiff climbs but the resort will provide transport for the less mobile. The food was excellent throughout but special mention to the girls in breakfast who took my order precisely. If you are lucky enough to have clear weather as we were you are rewarded with spectacular views of the Himalayas from various points around the property. The resort has a resident Hswami and offers yoga,meditation and massage spa for those that want relaxation. Every member went out of their way to make this a memorable experience. Highly recommended

Dusit Thani Himalayan Resort offers the perfect blend of luxury and nature. From stunning mountain views to elegantly designed rooms, every detail ensures a relaxing stay. The dining experience is exceptional, with a mix of local and international flavors. The spa and wellness facilities add to the tranquility, making it an ideal retreat. Specially the sound healing session by one of the best instructors I have seen Mr. Roshan Shrestha was so so mesmerizing. Highly recommended for a peaceful escape in the Himalayas! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Dwarika Resort is located, on a normal days traffic, around 50 minutes from Kathmandu. The resort is set high up in the hills above Dhulikhel and offers the opportunity to enjoy views of the Himalayas and enjoy traditional therapeutic treatments. I will say at the outset that our experience was soured by the weather and the local conditions. There had been rain over a few days prior to our arrival and this had turned the roads to the resort into a quagmire. Coupled with the major road works taking place, this turned our drive into a 100 minute experience. On arrival we found that the weather precluded the use of golf buggies to transport guests up to the resort so it was necessary to try to avoid the muddy conditions and walk up the steep path. This was in itself not a major issue, but I’m not sure how those less able would manage. The weather while we were there was inclement and there was no sighting of the Himalayas. It was impossible to walk out of the hotel due to the muddy conditions. However, the resort offers the opportunity for massage and other therapies, has a lovely lounge perched on the upper reaches of the property and provides good choices in its dining room. Unfortunately, if we had known beforehand what the conditions would be like, we wouldn’t have made the effort to stay at the resort. It is a pity that nature and local conditions conspired to prevent us seeing Dwarika Resort at its best.

The room was big and comfortable and the view was spectacular. We had a deck to sit out on and enjoy the view and watch the sunrise from. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and both were very good. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Nagarkot.
