After Hurricane Beryl, this was the only hotel I could find that actually had a room. Lucky for me it was also an accessible room. The hotel staff was working hard to meet the demands of a distressed populous. Erin seemed to be at the front desk every time I was there no matter the hour. I don't know how she managed to keep it together with the annoyance of the phone constantly ringing, the lobby full of people, current guests, and staff who needed something. This happened everyday, all day while I was there. I was anxious just watching, but Erin just kept working. Occasionally I would see another person at the desk to help her. I would suggest to the hotel, during a crisis they really need to have two people at the front desk during working hours 9-5, to help manage the mass that descends looking for relief. Since many people were also booking on line, I was at the mercy of cancelations to keep my room each day. Luckily Erin was able to accommodate me for at least two more times. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful, and despite the fact that they probably were dealing with their own issues from the storm, came to work to help the rest of us. A big shout out of THANKS to Erin and all the staff at Comfort Suite at Katy Mills who made a bad situation better for me, many Houstonians, and out of towners.
