Rena Apartments

Well what can I say but Wow ..!!! Rena Apartments was everything that I needed and so much more as a solo traveller looking for a peaceful and beautiful retreat.. Such a beautiful traditional building.. From start to finish it was an experience I’ll never forget …Ares, Rena, Dena, Nadia and Anna made the whole experience perfect for me …The rooms held the look of beautiful Greek tradition alongside the modern comforts needed… The bed was lovely and spacious with an ever so comfortable mattress which gave me such a good nights sleep .. The air conditioned picturesque rooms were kept clean by lovely Anna and fresh towels and bedding were supplied… I was in room 303 which was a Sea view studio with a lovely balcony which overlooked the sea … Opening the beautiful thúra to the balcony in the morning, I had the need as a runner to go and watch the sunrise on the nearby beach .. It took me just 10 minutes to run there and oh my, it was well worth it as my pictures show …!! I was always greeted when I arrived back early by beautiful Rena with a wave and a kalimèra xxx… I will miss Denas beautiful smile where she always made you feel so welcome and content … xxx Every eve I asked for a traditional meal from the lovely Ares . Nadia, also with her beautiful smile never failed to supply such delicious food .. xxx I had moussaka, kleftiko, stuffed with rice peppers tomatoes and aubergine and I had to try the yummy gyros !! My fave was the kleftiko of which I highly recommend and have chosen it as my final meal as I sit here in the beautiful settings, that is Rena apartments before I’m picked up for my flight .. Ares… What can I say … The perfect host and manager who was ever present. He sat down with me on my first eve there and advised me where to go with regards to the adventures I wanted to fulfill in the area ( I highly recommend the safe tours boat trip to Dai Island) and he also kept my wine glass topped up of an eve … He’s a manager who takes great pride in looking after his visitors of Rena Apartments xxx I will miss my beautiful retreat and I will be back xxx

Beautiful location close to the beach and scenery of olive groves. The family run apartments are very charming and our hosts were tremendously kind and considerate. The food was also delicious and I wish I could go back just for the Greek breakfast, Dakos, dolmas and shrimp saganaki! So delicious! I recommend to all as the place is spacious and rural yet close to bus and taxi stop and an easy walk to the beach!

The hosts were lovely and very attentive. The family running it gave the experience such a personal touch. Food and drinks were very well priced. The shop attached to the hotel was also very convenient and well priced. The hotel itself was beautiful and the pool is great! The room was nice and clean when we arrived and had everything you needed (air conditioning included). We had a sea view room with a gorgeous balcony and view from it. It’s a short walk to the local beach and lovely restaurants in the area. The rooms are very basic, which we expected for the price we paid. We would have liked if the room was cleaned at least once during our stay and the towels changed. And for self-catering there needed to be a few more facilities in the kitchen space to cook and wash up with (like washing up liquid). The fixing for our shower head was broken but this didn’t prevent us from using the shower, it was just less convenient. Note when staying in this area the buses do run but the times are very unpredictable. All in all it was an amazing place to stay in stunning scenery but not the most luxurious. Would 100% recommend for those travelling on a budget.
