Elewana the Manor Ngorongoro

My wife and I stayed at the Manor whilst on a Micato Safari. We were with a group of eleven exploring the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Lake Maryana National Park. After exploring each day we were greeted with warm wet clothes to cleanse the dust off our faces and a hot bubble bath. Later after a 5 course gourmet dinner and social time we returned to our suite being greeted with fire in the fireplace and a bottle of non-alcohol (requested) bottle of wine. Unparalleled luxury and service in the hills of Ngorongoro We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our two-night stay at The Manor at Ngorongoro during our honeymoon. Located just 30 minutes away from the entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, The Manor constantly wowed us with its beautiful grounds, fantastic lodging and attentive and caring staff. Located on the grounds of the coffee plantation, the grounds of the Manor are absolutely spectacular — offering a peaceful escape after a long day spent on a game drive. Some of our favorite memories are relaxing on the patio, smelling the roaring fire and enjoying a sundowner. (The espresso martinis are fantastic, as are the bar staff — who are a riot). The grounds are beautifully maintained and also fenced off, so no need to worry about wildlife entering the premises or escorts back to your room after dinner. The rooms themselves are absolutely wonderful, offering plenty of space, a fireplace that is lit up every night after dinner, and a luxurious clawfoot bathtub. Everything about our room was so elegant and relaxing. As for the staff, Aneth was so attentive in taking care of us at breakfast and dinner — helping us with anything that we needed. The food was immaculate, while the entire staff also treated us to a private dinner for our honeymoon on our final night — including a special assortment of our names decorated with coffee beans. Special shoutout to Altus for the fantastic wine recommendations, as well as Shariff — who was always cracking jokes whenever we saw him and was so friendly.. The Manor itself is a luxury accommodation straight out of a postcard, but it was the staff that really made our stay so memorable. We can’t recommend the Manor enough!

The Manor is a superb, secluded venue from which to enjoy the Ngorongoro Crater and surrounds. My room was spacious and well appointed. The food was excellent with a 5 course tasting menu with a decent wine selection. The service absolutely outstanding. It’s a 2 hour drive to the crater floor so ends up a very long day but would thoroughly recommend!

We had an amazing stay here. This is a beautiful setting and a wonderful way to end our Safari trip. So very lush and verdant. There are brick walking paths to get around the property. When it’s wet, be careful as they are quite slippery, especially on the small slopes. Our coffee tour here was personalized and informative. We really enjoyed learning about the history and process of growing coffee here. The roasting of the beans just for us and tasting the coffee was a fun and delicious experience. Our butlers, Hesron and John have made our stay here first class. Their unobtrusive attentiveness and friendliness is to be commended. How quickly they understood our preferences. We had a beautiful barbecue lunch in the crater. What a surprise! The grilled food was delicious as were all of the accompanying sides. The setting was beautiful, the tables, tent and amenities were fantastic. Our last evening meal by the pool was very memorable as well as the whole staff came out and serenaded us. Again our butlers created a beautiful table setting for us as well as impeccable service. We’ll be dreaming of coming back to this idyllic place. Asante sana to all!

Beautiful and serene location next to coffee plantation. Excellent gourmet food and attentive service. Rooms very big and clean. The safari and culture guide Peter was amazing, extremely knowledgeable and sympathetic. He gave us memories for life. Activities at the Manor include horse riding and a coffee tour, both superb.

The Manor is breathtaking. If you go you need to stay more than one night, and plan for at least half a day (really at least 1 full day or more) to enjoy the grounds. The guest associates are always 5 steps ahead of you planning things to make your stay that much more special and knowing your needs before you even ask. We went for our honeymoon and they took such good care of us. For dinner they would set up the most beautiful romantic dinners. The food was delicious. Every plate that would be brought to our table was art. Very delicious art. And all fresh. Do yourself a favor and indulge in all the coffee. Everyone there went above and beyond. And the grounds are so amazing. If you are a big aesthetic person then you will fall in love. You will feel as if you have been transported into the most magical world. Perfect for relaxing and also perfect for photos.
