I had an overall very nice experience with this hostel. The staff was nice and so helpful when I was saying I will probably not make it in the check-in time and we figured something out. The lady at the breakfast was super cute and the breakfast itself pretty big for a hostel. It was also very clean there. There’s a common area for the evening as well and they provide books and a few games.
The online thing is that the room was pretty warm at night and there was no storage possibility inside of your cabin, but in the room is a small extra room for luggage which is nice.

The character of our hotel is that many Japanese guests come to stay.
Our philosophy is to make every visitor feel like a home when they come to live in a duck house. Let the passengers relax after a day out playing back to the duck house.
In the duck family, headed by Japanese guests, many foreign tourists come here. Everyone is because they like Taiwan and want to have more exchanges with Taiwanese.
The Youth Hostel is located near the Kaohsiung Beautiful Island MRT Station and is only a 3-minute walk away. Adjacent to the famous Liuhe Tourist Night Market, the surrounding life is excellent and the transportation is convenient.

Like the security system & cleaneses. Big common area for guests to hang around. Hear that hostel boss are Japanese.
However, feel that most traveller don't like social with others. Maybe this is post covid situation at Taiwan?

Excepcional
CClymene LimWe stayed at this hotel in March. While this review is in English, we communicated to them in Chinese. We also observed that they could converse with simple English with the international guests.
Service - The hotel staff were friendly. We were greeted upon entering the door, and attended to immediately. The check-in process was fast. They also explained to us about the amenities - there is an enclosed area where we can chill, enjoy free drinks and ice cream. We were also entitled to one free drink from the par per day. Even the housekeepers were friendly. There was an elderly housekeeper on Level 8 who greeted us and offered to guide us to our rooms - was impressed by this because I wasn't expecting this from any housekeeper from any hotel! The receptionist at the level 2 morning buffet hall was also very attentive. I was looking around for the toilet, when one of the staff saw me and asked me if I needed any help. Please keep this proactiveness up :)
Food - The breakfast spread was huge and the food was scrumptious. Absolutely recommend. It has a mix of local ********* dishes and western food. I especially love the ********* food spread! (see photos for some of the food options, though i didnt take photo of everything).
Room - The room was sufficient and clean. Housekeeping also does a great job at tidying the room.
Location - Right next to Kaohsiung Main Station. I could walk directly to the hotel from the station - it seems like the renovation works that the earlier hotel reviews talked about has been resolved, so there is no longer a need to go to the hotel in a roundabout manner. Super convenient.
Other Amenities - They have washing machines, dryers, and even an ironing board! Powder detergent is provided too. This was something we really appreciated. Also, like what I earlier mentioned, they have a hall with the free-flow ice cream and drinks, which is a great place to chill and relax - especially at night after a long day of activities.
Overall, I will recommend Kindness hotel to those staying in Kaohsiung!

AAlxnelyHad everything I needed for a short stay in Kaohsiung. The hotel was very clean and my room, as well as the breakfast hall had a great view. The location is not too central, however you can reach the metro within a 10 minute walk.
Overall for the price it’s a really good accommodation, I’d come again in the future!

Yyinkei chungEl precio de reservar con un mes de antelación era en realidad 1/3 más alto que el precio de registrarse el mismo día. Después de todo, hay muchas opciones de alojamiento cerca. Los amigos que vienen a Kaohsiung entre semana pueden reservar el mismo día y el precio será mejor.
Cuando me registré, la recepción me ascendió a una suite para tres personas. Aunque solo me quedaría una noche, todavía estaba bien. Después de contar el mapa del piso en detalle, hay casi 70 habitaciones de varios tamaños en todo el piso. Quizás sea eso, el aislamiento acústico es un poco peor. La habitación está bien equipada, limpia y ordenada, y la cama es cómoda. La ventana puede ver la vista de la calle afuera. La única queja es que las baldosas del baño no estaban colocadas correctamente y el agua de la puerta del baño no estaba clara ni siquiera al día siguiente.
Vivir aquí se encuentra junto a la estación MRT, a solo 3-5 minutos a pie. Hay bastantes opciones para comer cerca. El precio de la habitación no es caro y se ofrece desayuno. El valor de CP es bastante alto y se recomienda para familias unipersonales.

IIrenena FrancesThis hotel is accessible to everywhere. There is also a 7-11 convenience store near the hotel. The breakfast spread is not a lot like other hotels but enough to fill our stomach. Staffs at the hotel are very polite and helpful too. The toilet seat comes with heater which is necessary during cold weather and it is separated from the shower area with a glass panel.

UUsuario invitadoIt took us 5 minutes from MTR station to the hotel. The room is large enough for us to open 2 large luggages at the same time. For me, there had many different TV channels to watch. As having a balcony, the view is very good. The breakfast provided is not bad as there are different types of food including local and western types. Moreover, the coffee is free for the whole day. The staff is nice and helpful.

TThe Happie HypnoOne of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Everything about the hotel was perfectly thought through and designed for the user experience.
Located conveniently abiT off the main busy stretch but walking distance to lots of food and bars, a little longer walk and you would get into the main busy shopping stretch. The hotel was super thoughtful in the service and amenities they provided. There was 24hrs free coffee, tea and ice cream which was self service, a laundry room with free use of their washing machines and dryers - the staff would even help you to dry your stuff when the machine is done washing! There was a 24 hour reception which is manned by really polite and kind staff who are always there to answer your questions even at 1am!
The room was well designed with all the amenities provided, from hair shampoo, conditioners, bath wash, moisturisers and even facial wash!
The rooms are super clean and there was an in-room tap with reverse osmosis water for you to refill your water and boil tea with!
The best part, the room also came with free breakfast which was pretty sumptuous for a simple hotel. The buffet spread of stir fried dishes, rice, porridge, soup (oh my god so good!) cereals, salads, coffee, teas and juices.
The service was also really good. Unobtrusive and always polite. They are really efficient and nice.
I would def stay here again if I come by!
