I am a Business traveler and honestly had a very pleasant stay here during both my previous visits to Kano before the Covid lockdown, but this time it was a terrible experience. First of all the staff never updated me on my complementary breakfast during my check-in and when I complained to the Manager the next day he was kind enough to tell me that I can still go and have my complementary breakfast which was too late by then. Later, when I went to the Reception, the Receptionist was not pleasing at all and just said that that her duty had got over during my check-in and that it was the responsibility of her colleague who took over to have updated me on my complimentary breakfast, even though she was very much present in the Reception during my check-in. In fact she was the one who asked for my Work Permit to complete my check-in formalities. Added to this, the day before my check-out I informed the Reception staff that I will be checking-out early in the morning, and while preparing to check-out, no water in my room even to use the toilet, which made me use some bottles of mineral water I had with me. To ensure that I don't miss my flight, I even had to skip my bath which I did for the first time ever. However, 20 minutes after I complained to the Reception the water supply resumed but it was too late by then. To sum up, I would just say, a good Hotel like this should be managed by professional staff who own the responsibilities and ensure customer satisfaction.
