We wanted to love this place. The caretaker is a lovey man but this place is too much work for one person. It’s situated in the hills on a very bumpy narrow road. It has great views from your room window. The main entrance is so lovey and on first glance the rooms are great. However, our bed sheets were ripped and stained. The air conditioner smelt. The room was extremely dusty on all the furniture. The bathroom ceiling had a leak. There was a dirty towel left on a chair outside and someone else’s used soap left in the bathroom and well as a chunk of black hair on the ground. The bar fridge was so dirty we had to ask him to clean it before we put out things inside. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. There were many dead bugs on the bed canopy. We were given one small water, 1 coffee satchel and 2 tea which we thought was odd. The throw rug on the bed was dirty. They advertise on one of the platforms as having breakfast included. There is no breakfast and no restaurants nearby. The hotel over the road has a restaurant but we didn’t love our egg noodles we had there. There’s no where else to eat nearby. The wifi isn’t available in the rooms. We had booked 3 nights and only stayed 1. When we asked to check out early it was a bit of an issue (as they asked for cash upfront). The caretaker said they had blocked the room for bookings on the platform, but they hadn’t blocked it a all, as the room was still available on line, and when I went to show him he said he didn’t have his glasses so couldn’t read it. The local area at the bottom of the hill isn’t a great area for tourists and you’ll find it hard to get a tuktuk to pick you up and drop you off as they don’t want to drive up the hill. This hotel is far too much work for 1 man to upkeep and cleanliness isn’t the level expected of a hotel.
