I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire Tree of Life team for the exceptional support and wonderful service provided. Our team is extremely happy with the experience, and we were particularly impressed by the top-notch food. Hats off to Chef Debahaduwa, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort with his mouth-watering dishes. On behalf of the management, I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for your dedication and commitment. A special mention goes to Koshila for arranging a better rate and excellent offer, and to Mr. Kapila for ensuring a smooth check-in and seamless check-out experience. Without doubt one of the best nature resorts I stayed during my time in Sri Lanka! Everything here was eco friendly. The staff were extremely friendly and caring, the restaurant was very flexible (appreciate this!) and the executive Chef Mr. Debehabuwa deserves a special thanks for making sure we enjoyed every meal we had. We had three great days here, which obviously also added up to the experience. The food, the green lush surroundings and the view from the villas were absolutely amazing. If you are a nature lover and need a quiet but a surreal experience with nature this is the place to be. I’d highly recommend Tree of Life if you are visiting Kandy.

No welcome drink? Once this was a great hotel but now I am not sure if it is worth it. The hotel needs some serious reformation. I enjoyed the calm and scenic look, this resort has to offer. They are maintaining the property and the surroundings alright. But the rooms need to be renovated. They are pretty old and some equipment is broken. The buffet was average and some food items tasted bad. I cannot recommend this hotel anymore for the price range.

We travelled with a tour ( mercury holidays) group stopping here for two nights. Buffet style food was tasty and enjoyed by all. Rooms spacious with large bathrooms, tea/ coffee/ water . Our air conditioning unit was not very efficient but it wasn’t too hot. Staff friendly, drinks reasonable price( as we found in most places) service is sometimes slow but always with a smile. If you have dietary needs you’ll need to check ahead - not too many labels- it’s fairly obvious if it’s vegetarian, not so obvious for vegan. Tea and coffee is usually served with hot milk.

While this resort maybe good, their customer service is really bad. This is coming from me trying to make a reservation with them. For starters, I had to call more than 5 times before someone picked up the phone. They weren't remotely interested in what I wanted to ask and more concerned about a conversation going on in the background. After talking to a person who didn't seem to understand a basic reservation, she then told me to contact someone else, instead of getting that person to contact me. I called that person as well and inquired about the room availability and credit card offers given on the website. He outright refused to offer the credit card offer saying that there's only one room available on the day I am checking. I checked the fine print, there was no condition like that. This is such bad service, I don't even know how they are getting guests to stay at this hotel if simply the reservation process is such a hassle like this. What a disappointment.

It is located in a beautiful area in Kandy. The facility is quite old. Not maintained at all. The bathroom was cleaned but smelly. When we asked the housekeeping to clean it again, they did it swiftly. In reality, the smell never went off. The staff is untrained. Some are chit chatting in common areas, distubing the guests. Food was average to good. All 3 meals were buffets. Refills were either slow or non extinctant. If you don't go early to the buffet, you will be eating the leftover. Very large swimming pool was a plus. Large ground area in the hotel but most of it was not kept well. We wouldn't go there again.

My wedding took place at the tree of life very recently and the services and the meals we received were beyond expectations. As a hotel with a long history, I recommend the Tree of Life Nature Resort to any couple, family or even solo travelers. The surroundings are all relaxing and calm and you will experience a glimpse of nature throughout the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious and the meals were amazing. Kudos to the chef and the restaurant team. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they give priority to the customer's desires. Both main and baby swimming pools are well maintained and you can go for a swim during the day. Tree of life is a great hotel for all sorts of events including parties, family gatherings, day outs or simply for your vacation.
