All show, no substance. AVOID
At best a 3 star hotel, attached to some restaurants.
Service is non existent, reception staff do not acknowledge, on one occasion there were 4 receptionists, all looking at the screen, and did not look up to see I was waiting, the only guest there.
Same in the restaurants, do not acknowledge customers, in fact totally opposite, the one person who was supposed to welcome guests, looked away. They never acknowledged us when we left the restaurant.
At the back of the hotel there was such a strong smell of a cess pit, we decided not to go to the beach. Many reviews from other guests who stayed a number of months before us have mentioned this. A 5 star hotel wouldn't have this or would have sorted.
The rooms were filthy, Ill designed and dated. Wall paper peeling off, water leaking in the bathroom, headboard dirty, bed frame dirty. All signs of a 2 star or lower hotel.
There were two staff that displayed service ethic, Liden in the restaurant, and "Ibo", who was at the rtea stand.
We will be writing to the CEO with more details and photographs, with no hope of a response.
Happiness was the Kaldan Sumudhra Palace in the rear view mirror.
