The J Break Boutique

A beautiful, refined hotel near the centre of the old town. A few minutes walk to the river. Lovely, spacious rooms, very clean, crisp white sheets, a small but beautiful pool. Very good coffee at breakfast. Best I’ve had in Cambodia. The dining room foyer is spacious and elegant. The staff very helpful. The Cambodian Seafood Restaurant (and cooking school) nearby was wonderful. A great stay.

J Break Boutique has 20 rooms and is a 10–15-minute walk to Riverside and close to restaurants. The neo-classical lobby with a high ceiling has ample seating. Check-in was efficient. This 3-story hotel doesn't have an elevator so it might not be suitable for mobile challenged guests. The rooms are a good size with a high ceiling and a balcony. Even though the room has a TV, there is no cable so basically, it's useless. The room was clean with a comfortable Queen bed and there were sockets near the bed. The bathroom only had a shower, and the sink was outside the bathroom. The air conditioner and the free internet worked well. The balcony had a table and 2 chairs. There isn't a safe in the room, but you can use the one in the lobby. Breakfast is served in the lobby. It is a set menu with eggs or crepes with coffee and fruit. This made-to-order breakfast is simple. The hotel has a pool which I didn't use. It also has a restaurant, and their fruit smoothies are good. You can book tours but the one I took was just average. Peppercorn Tuk Tuk Kamot was a lot better. There is also a Lucky Supermarket minutes from the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, but their English can be hit or miss. Overall, J Break Boutique Hotel is a solid choice for your stay in Kampot. The rooms are clean and comfortable and within walking distance to Riverside.

This is my home-from-home when in Kampot one week each month and has been for around 4 years. Most rooms are huge, all are clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's a wonderful Oasis in the centre of town and an easy walk to everything in kampot.

Cool cafe out of the sun with comfortable chairs, friendly staff and good coffee. Didn’t stay at the hotel but good place for a quiet drink at coffee time. The architecture has a colonial feel with various artifacts in the lobby area and old black and white pictures of Cambodia

Stayed for seven nights - great room, lovely hosts, yummy breakfast, nice pool. Highly recommended. Walking distance to the tourist area on the river where there are good restauants. Very quiet and comfy.

Really beautiful hotel with large rooms and huge wet room. Stunning French Colonial building full of such interesting display pieces ranging from vintage typewriters, cameras, telescopes even a rare Beatles album, great to look around and enjoy.
