Kalloni Bay

We have visited the Greek islands many times over the years and Kalloni Bay hotel on Lesvos is a great place to stay. The hotel and rooms could do with updating but we really enjoyed the stay and it was great value for money. The breakfast was better than expected with a full continental selection and with a selection of hot food and bread to make toast available. We certainly didn’t have any problem finding something to eat. The location is excellent with about a 1 min walk to the beach and 10 min stroll to the local town. There are a limited amount of sun beds and parasols available on the beach to hotel customers and we had no problem finding them available in the morning. The town is small and authentic and gives you a real feeling of Greek culture and there are plenty of restaurants to try and a couple of mini markets. There is a fairly large pool with plenty of room and beds available although we didn’t visit ourselves. The rooms were cleaned and beds made every day and all the staff were really friendly. We would visit again and really appreciated the location.

We had a fantastic week at Kalloni bay hotel. Typically Greek family run hotel! Our toddler loved the toddler pool, great location! Thank you Kalloni Bay 😄😁

This hotel is badly in need of work . Booked with Jet2 . Staff work hard but does not compensate for the bathrooms . Bedroom have new furniture in them but the towels are not white not even close I’ve enclosed pictures of bathrooms we had no hot water for two days due to a fault . Hotel is in good position and access for beach no sunbeds on beach ti second day then they put half a dozen on beach falling apart at least three of them . Ten minute walk to the square with good bars and restaurants. Would not return to this hotel Unless a massive reconstruction work done . Snack bar opens about 11 closes between 4-6pm . You can’t buy food or drink on premises after this time . Can’t even make a drink in room so advise bring kettle .

1st time to Lesvos after visiting 15 different greek islands all individual Lesvos seems more traditional than many others which is not a bad thing The hotel seemed to be stuck in the era it was built I can't understand how it's classed as 3 star from visiting other hotels in resort and other resorts the standards for 2025 seem low on Lesvos I have stayed in 2 star hotels which are superior to Kalloni bay Tired bit tatty and poor bathrooms For the whole week shower was Luke warm Shower curtain is a no no and tiles where dated and tatty House keeping worked tirelessly and rooms where clean beds like quite a few greek hotels are extremly firm and uncomfortable you expect it in 2 stars not 3 The pool area was quite dirty as was pool and was only cleaned on day of departure Did B&B on this stay breakfast was ok and exceptable choice Staff where limited and pool bar was hit and miss where you had to look for staff and food was finished after 4pm No resteraunt at night although it had full kitchen and nice dining area inside and out Wasted Kids playground if you can call it that reminded me of it being from an abandoned park Seemed when you left reception it was a different hotel toilet in reception was very modern it would of been nice to extend this to rooms There was a pool toilet and shower/changing nobody could use this as there was a drain outside which at one point was bubbling and overflowing pretty nasty This hotel has an enviable location a great pool if it was cleaned, pool area was run down with some broken beds and rusty poles flaking paint and render blown Drains round edge of pool dirty and blocked causing pool water to flood under sunbeds We where told it was family run seems not it was managed No passion or desire to make this a great hotel which it could be Skala kallonis was an ok resort with everything you need for a chilled authentic greek holiday hotel should be comfortable and well operated kalloni bay was not We met some lovely people where where repeat to Lesvos and seem to think its acceptable it should not be I totally agree with last review and think I have been fair We had a good holiday but if hotel was improved it would of been great

Rooms basic , no kettle / cups bathrooms old fashioned with a shower curtain. The whole hotel needs a refurb. Needs bring up to date. Smoke detector in the draw with battery out not on the ceiling. Drain by down stairs outdoor toilets blocked an smelt. Plaster falling of on outside wall. No evening meal bar shut at 5pm No ice cream. For half term the hotel an resort it was like a ghost town. Most of the hotels including this are up for sale. Nice Staff when you managed to find one. I’m sorry to say we won’t be returning to the island. No phones in the room as advertised or clock We to Petra for the day a did the train to Molivos. Slightly busier no childrens actives as stated also
