This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever been to. When we walked into the reception to check in, we found the receptionist asleep on the sofa. When we finally managed to get to our room, we then found out it was nothing like what is advertised. The room was absolutely awful and outdated to the point we had ants and a lizard in our room due to there being a hole in the wall. The toilet wouldn’t flush unless you pulled the flush twice and it smelt like there was sewage issues. The food was shocking I have never seen anything like it. For breakfast there were leftover cold chips from the night before. There were about 6 dishes for dinner and all of them were freezing cold and no options for fussy eaters. The all inclusive drinks weren’t all inclusive at all. You couldn’t get an alcoholic drink until after 6pm.

Overall an OK stay. Would not waste the money. The biggest moan of all is the food. This isn’t my first all inclusive holiday but by far the worst when it comes to food. Awful selection, hardly anything to choose from. Food was cold, bacon pieces would stick to each-other from how cold it was. The “snacks” were croissants, breadsticks and a custard pastry. Very limited choice. Had to eat out the entire holiday which defeats the point of an all inclusive. Have spoken to restaurants nearby and when they asked where we were staying and if we enjoy it, we raised the food issue to them and they stated this isn’t the first they are hearing of this. Would not recommend at all :) Other than the food,it’s bare all but definitely wouldn’t waste the money or time

Upon our arrival, we were surprised to find the reception desk unattended. After a few moments, we realized that the individual sleeping on the sofa was the receptionist and manager. When we woke him, he responded angrily, shouting at us for being too loud, despite our conversation being at a normal volume. We were then shown to our room, only to discover it was nothing like what we had booked. The room bore no resemblance to the photos on the On the Beach website. It was outdated and in a deplorable state. The air conditioning did not work, one of the lights in the room was out, and the shower was poorly installed, causing the bathroom to flood each time we used it. When we raised these issues with the receptionist and manager, he responded rudely and aggressively, telling us to leave and find another hotel. This behavior was utterly unacceptable and unprofessional. The room we were given was a far cry from what was advertised on the On the Beach website. When we contacted On the Beach customer service, they falsely claimed that the room was accurately represented in their brochure, which we found to be dishonest and dismissive. Overall, we were appalled by the conditions and the service, which completely ruined our experience. We hope that this feedback will prompt you to address these serious issues to prevent other guests from enduring a similar experience.

Me and my friend stayed here last week, I didn’t have high expectations being a 3* but was pleasantly surprised, we only stayed here for 4 nights in all inclusive. The food was standard all inclusive food for dinner a few options of each meat salads etc as a fussy eater I struggled a little but that’s just my preference on foods, for breakfast fruits, cereals and cooked breakfast bits too I was quite impressed. The soft drinks out of the pump machine were not great and all tasted pretty much the same. It should also be noted that the cocktails are not available all day and night and there are a few hours where you could only get soft drinks. The maids gave us fresh towels every single day and we found the hotel over all to be very clean. Our bathroom had an issue with the flush and we let the staff on reception know in the morning and by the time we got back to the hotel in the afternoon it was fixed again. We had a family room with 2 balcony’s one of which the door didn’t lock which wasn’t so much of an issue as we were on the 1st floor but as 2 young girls it was a little concerning at night. There were always sun loungers round the pool even throughout the day no waking up early or fighting for spaces etc it was lovely, the pool was quite dirty/murky and we didn’t see it cleaned in the length of our stay however due to the heat we had whilst here nobody was showering before going in and constantly getting in and out etc due to the weather so this is probably the result of this suncream/sweat etc. The hotel is in a great location about 5 min walk to the main strip in falaraki with lots of restaurants and bars and about 10 mins to the beach too, we got the bus from the main road to the water park about 10 mins away only cost us €3 for 2 of us to get there. We also went to a few other places whilst here via taxis which the hotel organised for us. There isn’t any entertainment at the hotel in the day or evenings but with the bars and restaurants etc so close it wasn’t really needed for us, but also being a good enough distance we couldn’t hear a thing from the main strip from our room. Would recommend this hotel to couples, friends, and families with older kids not really suitable for young children.

We were booked to stay at another hotel But unfortunately it was closed down. These guys were very accommodating and they upgraded us to the pool side rooms. The rooms and the facilities were lovely! However there wasn’t much food choice. But for 3 stars I can’t fault it! The pool was lovely and it was in a great location for walking down into the town. The staff were friendly. I would recommend this hotel for a budget holiday.

Fantastic stay.. our room was spotless. Facing the pool so great to get the evening sun. There was clean towels every day, even though every other day would have been fine. Plenty of power points and a fridge, aircon at no extra cost. The staff are amazing, it's a family run hotel and they really can't do enough for you. We arrived at about 20.45 and the lady and gentleman on reception quickly gave us our all inclusive bands and directed us to the restaurant as food finishes at 9pm and there was plenty left. Tried a few of the cocktails, all inclusive ends at 10pm but we ended up staying up at the bar till much much much later drinking extremely good value drinks... Dimitri at the bar even tolerated my attempt to speak Greek, on more than one occasion. Every day there is fresh fruit, yoghurt, salads, bread, cereals, some sort of meat, fish, chips or potatoes.. different eggs and usually bacon at breakfast, as much tea and coffee, water and juice as you want. The bus stop to Rhodes Town is a few minutes walk away to the main road, take a right out of the hotel then a left. On the way back the bus drops you not far from JD Bar on the Faliraki road. Again, its a few minutes walk back to the hotel, 10 at the most. Well thats the way we went 😁 You can pay cash. It was 2.50 each way. I'm a runner and ran around resort 3 mornings and felt completely safe... hard to keep the wines to a minimum in the evening though so I could get up early before the heat 🌞😎 Do visit Symi, about a couple of hours sail away, it's beautiful, we spent some time in the local tavernas too, where the Greeks go, Stama down on the harbour is great value and fabulous views of the boats coming in and out. All in all... a fantastic stay and extremely well looked after by a lovely family. Will definately be back. Sarah & Paul 19th to 26th May 24

Just got back from a week's stay at the Tsampika hotel. Was a bit cautious from some of the reviews but we had nothing but a lovely time here. We arrived late evening just as the restaurant was about to close. The man on reception I assume was the owner made sure we got something to eat after travelling all day before checking in properly. Through the whole visit the staff were warm and welcoming, always happy to say hello, ask what you were doing that day, checking if everything was alright. The rooms are fairly modern and clean, the cleaner came round all bar Sunday I believe and changed the towels when she did. As for the all inclusive, the food was what you would expect for a buffet style restaurant. The same few meals did pop up a few times but to me that's to be expected. Still a varied choice of Greek dishes through the week with some staples added. Always available greek salad. For the price paid I definitely wouldn't complain. The drinks also were very generous I felt, there is a list with about 5/6 all inclusive cocktails which were varied and all tasted good. Generous with the pouring, all local spirits again to be expected for the price paid, would recommend the tsampika special. The draught beer on the all inclusive was good as well. Definitely get your moneys worth in my opinion. You can get other beers and branded spirits or the more traditional cocktails if you like at about half price to anywhere you will find in town. The pool area is nice well maintained and clean. The hotel itself is set in a quieter location a short walk about 10-15 from the bars in faliraki and about the same for the beach, but for me this was ideal for a more relaxing place to stay. The hotel next door is where you want to stay if you want it a bit louder. Overall a lovely week at this family run hotel, if returning to faliraki I would look at returning again

As many other reviewers said, I wasn’t sure what to expect once I had read the reviews for this place. Some saying it’s the best hotel ever, others saying it was the worst experience of their life. My experience was somewhere in between. Positively, the room was very clean, modern and the air conditioning unit was very efficient. The beds were very comfy and fresh towels were left by the cleaners every day, and the bin emptied and floor mopped daily too. We stayed all inclusive and generally enjoyed the selection of foods available. Greek dancing on a Thursday night was also really fun! There was plenty of Sun loungers to go around and the pool area was well generally well maintained and clean with one exception. I think other reviewers have been a tad unfair on the staff - it is clearly a family run business and the staff are working long hours to accommodate guests. On the other hand - the food did get a bit repetitive, and I imagine anybody with a dietary requirement or vegan/vegetarian would definitely be left wanting more. Despite paying all inclusive, the “classic” cocktails were €4 each - whilst cheap for the area not what you expect to see when you have paid all inclusive. The hot-tub/middle pool definitely could have done with a clean. On our second day of a week long stay I asked for a late checkout as we were not leaving until 9pm day of departure. I was then asked to please ask again on the day of. I then asked again on the day of and was told we could have 6pm checkout for €25 which we paid. We then had to hang around in the lobby which was not well ventilated or air conditioned until our 9pm transfer. We also spotted people checking out even later than us and suspected that had we offered more money we could have also done this, which is a bit of liberty seeing as allowing a later checkout would not cost them anything as the room clearly was not needed that evening. This did leave a bit of a bad taste in my mouth however, I did overall have a really nice time at this hotel and won’t allow this to cloud my judgement! I would suggest keeping an open mind if you are staying here!
