Just be careful what you book if you are in a tent, lots of good points about this park. We pre booked about 6 weeks beforehand and told them that we are new to camping and would like a tent site. When we arrived it was very windy and our site was straight up the driveway on the corner to the left. It felt like sitting on a median strip so we went back to the office and asked for something a lil sheltered from the wind for our tent. We were then moved to site 39 which has a concrete pad and the rest is just dirt, no mesh on top. We were told that there were no others we could move to. Next to us were site 40 and 41, 41 being perfect, next to a villa, a lil more privacy, green grass and nice mesh pad. We watched that spot sit empty for the two nights we were there while we padded about in dirt which was very unpleasant. Site 40 was occupied on the last night of our stay when a single guy in a camper van arrived late and enjoyed some green matting and grass even though he had a van however I’m not sure whether he just rocked up randomly as it was after office hours and you can just drive in and use the facilities which are not locked. Otherwise, the facilities were good, laundry and clotheslines good, I liked the toilet and showers being in one and never had to wait. On one occasion the floor was floating in water and I had to push it down the drain and next morning around 7am there were two toilets with no toilet paper when everyone is waking up and wanting to use the facilities. Kangaroos visited but not a problem for us. My suggestion if in a tent, make sure what kind of site you are booking, lesson learnt for us. Location was good, easy walk to shops etc. anyone coming here would have a car so the distance to IGA or anywhere in Kalbarri isn’t an issue.
