Grecotel Filoxenia

I had stayed there one year ago and had not been very impressed. The hotel has meanwhile gone through extensive renovation however. The room and bathroom were brand new, and spotless clean. The parking, the garden areas, the pool, were great and the breakfast excellent. The check-in process could still be a little quicker but all the staff is so polite that one excuses some small inexperience. Overall a very satisfactory stay.

My overall experience during my stay has been unique. Being a constant summer traveller can only reassure that the hotel meets and exceeds the 5 star rating. I am sure that a visit is going to re-confirm the afore said and create the desire to return again and again.

I loved staying at this hotel! The careful design and high standard if finish makes great use of its beautiful setting, with private beach, three well kept pools and a large central area containing dining areas in well kept gardens overlooking the sea. Buffet food was varied and well cooked, with an a la carte restaurant as-well. A lounge in the infinity pool overlooking the Aegean, followed by dinner is very memorable. our room was comfortable and light, with a nice bathroom and balcony. Nespresso machine provided decent early morning coffee in a very comfortable bed. The hotel is largely clad with stone including marble floors and lots of views through full height windows. A great stay to put ys in the mood for onward travel!

Staff need training, hotel operations required. - entrance to the hotel underwhelming… looks like all second hand furniture from another grecotel. Landscaping and view saved the day. - Room decor and function was the only thing that stopped me for giving this hotel 2 stars. This is really well set out for families with 2 small children. Ground floor room, with close proximity to pool and main dining area was such a bonus. - Shallow pool for little ones was fantastic. - This hotel could make so much more money by improving communications and providing more service in the right places. - App didn’t work, all guests should be instructed to download app and make sure it’s working before going any further into the hotel. There is zero information printed anywhere around the hotel for basic services. - In room dining menus not provided in room, no menus provided in pool area. No push to order buttons around pool and only one waiter hard to find as too busy managing pool towels. - zero information provided around kids club - nothing in room / chulecknin or on app. - i would not spend more than 2 nights here. A la cart dining menu underwhelming, breakfast buffet was beautiful and produce was so fresh.

The hotel was actually nicer than we expected - it has a really nice warm feeling - the Setting is perfect - rooms were freshly renovated - Great view from the balcony also which was an added bonus. Beds were comfortable - air conditioning worked very well - the shower was Perfect & the wardrobe space was adequate. The Pool area is Devine & leads onto the beech - The area around it is well kept also. Breakfast Choice was Great. The bar in June was quiet but nice to sit for a drink. We had a lovely time here celebrating our Wedding anniversary - also this Hotel / Location is Great for older couples / adult friendly.

The hotel has been recently renovated, and we had the feeling of being among the very first guests. Breakfast is a standard international selection, but we would appreciate more local Greek flavors. Half-board is available, and the buffet offers a wide variety of options. The tzatziki was especially delicious – a real highlight. Overall, a pleasant stay with friendly service.
