I booked two rooms at HOTEL LiVEMAX BUDGET Kofu via Trip.com and received a message from the hotel only 8 minutes after confirmation, informing me that the onsen (public bath) is completely closed due to renovations and that loud construction noise would occur from 8:30 to 17:00 daily. This construction had already started days earlier (April 14), yet no warning was shown on the booking platform.
At that point, we had already arrived in Yamanashi, and it was too late to find another hotel. The staff offered no compensation or support, only saying that cancellation was possible—which was not realistic under the circumstances.
This kind of delayed disclosure and lack of transparency is unacceptable. The onsen was a key reason for choosing this hotel. If I had known the truth in advance, I would not have booked it.
Extremely disappointed with the way this was handled. I hope this review helps other travelers avoid the same experience.
