The hotel is beautiful, we arrived late on the first night and were greeted by champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. The kids had a juice. The reception area is beautiful. We were celebrating my husband’s 40th and the hotel did their best to help me make it special with an ice bucket in the room, a cake, balloons etc. Our room and the view was absolutely stunning, the room has all the amenities you could want, from toiletries, robes, slippers to the complimentary minibar. A small issue we had was there was no air con as we were told it’s off peak season, we went in April and the weather was hot. The first night we did sleep with the balcony door open but complained the following morning as we were woken by the peacocks but also the smell of smoke from smoking below, outside our room. The air con issue was rectified and switched on after being told initially that this wasn’t a possibility. The all inclusive in Regnum is exactly that. We felt so lucky and grateful as the whole resort was open at the start of April. We experienced the beach, pier, snack shacks, waterpark etc. our favourite things were the patisseries! The chocolates and macaroons were amazing! We really enjoyed the restaurant on the beach front and our favourite evening meal was the Japanese restaurant, the best rock shrimp ever! The staff in the outside bar area were great, attentive and quick service. On Cuba night we had a cab guy serving us. The staff in the indoor bar on an evening were rude, served others who pushed to the front of the bar whilst I had been stood there for a while waiting to be served. This was a little frustrating. The resort is beautiful! We really loved our stay at Regnum and would love to be able to revisit again one day. We did tip and found this helped the service we received particularly around the pool. We did visit land of legends which wasn’t far at all. We didn’t go for the waterpark as we had one at the hotel.
