Points West Oceanfront Resort

One of the most memorable experiences my husband and I had was staying at Points West oceanfront resort. This is a beautiful, calm, and cozy place that I highly recommend. Also, the hospitality was excellent.

Upon further reflection on my Sooke Point visit and review, I would be remiss i if I didn’t add some points and advice to my original review. My follow up remains 5 stars, BTW. First, an important tip is to thoroughly research the ferry systems (Washington and BC), understand the terminal options, features and processes. I strongly recommend placing reservations at least 2 weeks in advance - if taking a rental over from Vancouver or Seattle, you could make a long travel day into a really long travel day. The resort is helpful in fielding ferry question and the BC system is also very customer service friendly, but sold out without a reservation means you will wait for the next available trip. Second, don’t forget about customs and potential waits if traveling from the US. Third- the “Resort” in Sooke Pointe Resort is not to be confused with the “Resort” in Disney Resorts or myrtle beach Resort or any other commercial resorts. Pick up groceries long before arriving in East Sooke. The nearest small convenience store is 25 minutes away and, although nice, very pricey. Restaurants are few and far between - none that I know of within 30-40 minutes. Given all this, this may not be your child’s idea of the ideal resort, but it IS for me:)

Breathtaking views, first class amenities, and total seclusion are what we experienced at Points West Oceanside Resort. Our suite was absolutely perfect, and literally a few meters from the ocean. Excellent value - totally exceeded our expectations!! Just a short drive from Victoria, BC’s capitol city, and minutes away from funky Sooke shops and restaurants. Trust owner Alexander’s recommendations! I’m sure my wife and I will never forget our time at Points West! I can’t wait to go back - I’m hooked.

My husband and I wanted a little getaway from the city so we booked Points West Oceanfront Resort. We stayed in the Rooftop Oceanfront Suite and were amazed by the breath-taking views from all angles of the suite. The private hot tub is a wonderful feature to have. The suite was clean, well equipped with fridge, microwave and coffee-maker and the king bed was very comfortable. We loved our stay and will be back very soon.

Amazing spot!! Settled in a valley looking out to the ocean and mountains. The roof top hot tub at sunset with the views, you can’t beat it! Relaxing and romantic 3 day break! Loads of beach’s and hikes / nature to explore , bbq every night, perfect!!! Xander the host greeted us on arrival and was very informative. Thank you again, can’t wait to get back!!!

I am SO grateful that I found this gorgeous place, it was exactly what my little baby soul needed :) I had already had a very stressful 24 hrs after a previous trip was canceled and Alexander was so kind to allow me to book in at the last minute. The place was immaculate and as soon as I walked in through the door and saw the ocean laid out in front of me, there was just a huge sigh of relief and happiness. Quiet and calm is a big deal for me and this provided both, I never heard a thing except for the waves and birds. You could hear the Pacific loon in the mornings and see the cruise ships go by in the night. The views are just outstanding and the hot tub was an added bonus at the end of the day. Thank you ever so much, I will definitely be back when I need another “me” break!!♥️
