Nanyuan Inn in the streets and alleys of Shaxi Ancient Town

I was very happy staying at the hotel for three nights. When I arrived I asked to change the room to the Starry Sky Double Bedroom, and it was the best room I've had of the same price anywhere - panoramic view of the mountain ranges 24/7). The hotel is run by a lovely family who live in the same compound (three generations living together I think). The owner and his wife are ready to assist you when you need. The hotel itself is super clean, with super modern toilet, and is very quiet. Its location is just at the edge of the ancient town - very convenient to get out and to get in. If you can make it on Fridays, there is a great Friday market nearby ( in the ancient city). The hotel can also arrange a shared ride to Lijiang, Dali etc. for you, which saves you the hassle of having to go to Jianchuan, then traveling on to wherever. I would stay there again if I have a chance to come back.

This homestay run by a leave in the family, and they go all out to make our stay comfortable. They can help you to book sharing a car to Dali or Lijiang at a very reasonable price. The homestay is just 2 mins walk from the taxi drop-off point, and you dont need to drag your luggage too far on the rubble road. Do note that inside the old town, vehicles are not allowed. The market and food stall is just 2 mins walk away, and you can find plenty of local food for breakfast and lunch. Next to the homestay you can find a cafe which serves good americano for just RMB9.90. Highly recommended to stay in this homestay.

Great location in the heart of Shashi. There is a magical balcony overlooking the street, we had a great stay there.

房間很乾凈，旁邊就是飯店和小集市，輕鬆解決伙食問題。衣服落下了，老闆也是非常及時打電話叫我們去拿了，還好沒丟。
