The William Apartments Jesmond

When I booked the room a month prior, I specifically requested two single beds rather than a king bed. When I rang them a few days prior, I re-confirmed the single beds rather than a king bed. We walked straight into a king bed. It was bloody lucky there was extra bedding in the room that we used to just make up the singles ourselves, revealing an absolutely disgusting floor in the process. The sheets were unclean, the bed uncomfortable, the floor oily and covered in dust. But the worst thing was by far the exit sign. Why, for the love of all that is holy, would you place a brightly-lit exit sign *inside* the room?! It was impossible to get the room dark, and without an eyemask I'd have never gotten any sleep at all. I'd recommend just about anywhere before I'd recommend here.
