"We booked the king size bed suite. The rooms of this hotel are right next to a main street where all vehicles, especially noisy motorbikes and trucks have to travel to move around the city at any time. It feels like sleeping on the road. The noise of the motorbikes did not allow us to sleep for 2 nights, the room is a clean room that seems to have been remodeled, but it looks like a prison with high white ceilings without any wall decoration, just a TV on the wall full of ugly cables that lead to a huge table with which you hit your knee when walking. The windows do not have curtains to block out the morning light, which means that at six a.m. you’ll be awake . When we woke up (after a few hour sleep) we found out that the water heater was not working, having to shower in 58f (14c) weather, with water as cold as a cold river. Some people complained about it, and at night we managed to get hot water, but the next morning the water was freezing again. Staying in this hotel was a nightmare, the reasons to stay in a hotel is to sleep well and have a nice shower, neither can be achieved in this place. The staff, although friendly, did not guide us correctly on how to get tour guides to learn about Jericó, even gave us wrong directions. The food at the restaurant was horrible, we ate on one occasion and left the whole pizza on the table. The stay includes breakfasts, breakfasts that consisted of only 3 options, no juices, just coffee or tea, horrible, a poorly cooked single egg, a cold toast and an arepa that could barely be eaten, the first day we left breakfast on the table and went to have breakfast elsewhere and never came back to the restaurant. We are still waiting to put on some robes that were suppose to be deliver to the room. We weren't expecting a 5-star hotel, but we weren't expecting a cheap overpriced motel either. The bathroom is very nice and comfortable, but it is useless if you have to shower with freezing cold water. Terrible experience, this cannot be called a hotel, and not for almost $100 per night, maybe a hostel or a motel is a better category, I wouldn’t pay more than $25 for this place. The building is nice, the view from the balcony is beautiful, but it's useless if you can't sleep, rest or shower comfortably, be aware."

"Nuestra estadía en Casa Cedrela fue simplemente espectacular. Desde la llegada, la atención del personal fue cálida y atenta, siempre pendientes de cada detalle para hacernos sentir como en casa. La comida es deliciosa, con sabores únicos y presentaciones impecables. El lugar es un verdadero sueño: con espacios hermosos y acogedores que invitan al descanso y la tranquilidad. Sin duda, un Hotel Boutique que supera las expectativas y al que deseamos regresar muy pronto."

"De todo mi gusto. Excelente atención, el lugar es hermoso, absoluta tranquilidad en medio de naturaleza. Restaurante espectacular y habitación inmejorable. Tiene 7 habitaciones. Yo estuve en la que mira al río. Muy amplia, el baño excelente y la ropa de cama impecable. Volvería sin duda. Marlly y juan nos atendieron muy bien. Siempre pendientes de todo."

Hotel Fundadores de Cauca Viejo ★★★

"La experiencia en el hotel de Fundadores en Cauca Viejo es, en términos de infraestructura, realmente impecable. Las instalaciones son un 10/10: el lugar es hermoso, bien cuidado, tranquilo y con una estética que invita al descanso. Las habitaciones, zonas comunes y la piscina cumplen totalmente con lo que uno espera de un sitio para desconectarse. Sin embargo, el servicio —especialmente en el restaurante— deja mucho que desear. La atención es excesivamente lenta, al punto de que un almuerzo puede tardar hasta dos horas en ser servido, lo cual afecta significativamente la experiencia. Además, hay limitaciones que no son muy claras desde el inicio: a las 8:00 p.m. ya no permiten el uso de la piscina, lo que reduce bastante las opciones de disfrute en la noche. Por otro lado, el ambiente del condominio es bastante restrictivo. A partir de las 10:00 p.m. no se permite hacer ruido, lo que hace que el plan sea más orientado al descanso absoluto que a compartir o socializar. Esto se suma a otro punto importante: no hay muchas actividades ni dentro ni fuera del hotel, por lo que el plan termina siendo básicamente ir a dormir y ya. En resumen, es un lugar ideal si lo que buscas es silencio, descanso total y desconexión, pero no tanto si esperas una experiencia dinámica, con buena oferta gastronómica o actividades para disfrutar durante la estadía."
