Surej es el mejor Haveli que estuvimos en India, con espectaculares diseños interiores de más de 500 años en manos de la misma familia, habitaciones a lo Maharaja para no creerlo y prácticamente frente al templo del fuerte que sin exagerar es el más lindo de todos los templos boutique. La familia completa es excepcional, pero no puedo dejar de felicitar a Subam, uno de los hijos que trabajan en el hotel, por su simpatía, conocimiento, cariño y todo el tiempo que nos dedico a guiarnos en la ciudad mientras nos explicaba todo acerca de su tierra y la India, recomendarnos restaurantes y pasearnos en su moto por los alrededores. Realmente mejoró nuestro viaje a la India en un 100% y nos mostró el verdadero corazón de su pueblo, siempre amable, honesto y dispuesto. Gracias familia Surej.

Preciosa Haveli dentro del fuerte, pegada al Jain Temple. Perfecto para descansar unos días en Jaisalmer. La familia es muy acogedora, el hijo del dueño nos ha acogido como un gran amigo. Hemos comido los platos más deliciosos preparados por su madre y su cuñada, delicioso chai y ricas cervezas también . Le agradeceremos a Shubham los preciosos momentos y charlas compartidos. Espectacular Haveli en pleno centro histórico de la ciudad. Las personas que lo atienden son estupendas, atentas y te ayudan en todo lo que necesitas (muy honradas, cosa a valorar en India). Estaba limpio y muy bien ubicado. Volvería, sin duda.

Solo fuimos a disfrutar de las vistas y tomar un té, y nos trataron como si fuéramos huéspedes. Lali (no sabemos cómo se escribe, sorry) fue encantador. Nos enseñó el haveli/hotel, que es precioso y nos explicó cosas de la ciudad, sin esperar ni un céntimo a cambio. Da gusto encontrar lugares y personas así.

Hotel Suraj is much more than a hotel and has been the most amazing place we have ever stayed on holiday. Shubham, his family and colleagues made us feel an extended part of the family and would constantly go out of their way to make our stay as easy and comfortable as possible. Their haveli, where we stayed, is a spectacular home with fabulous rooms. We would recommend anyone going to India to visit Jaisalmer and, if possible, to stay at Hotel Suraj. Our genuine thanks to all at Hotel Suraj for making our stay so wonderful.

The Maharajá room was amazing! Gorgeous, historic, huge and confortable. We felt like prince and princess. Huge bathroom with hot water working perfectly. Delicious breakfast in the room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Too bad we could only stay one night

As a Kiwi family of 5 it was recommended we stay in the fort in Jaisalmer. We are so glad we did. We spent 2 nights at this beautiful and historic Haveli located in an amazing series of narrow but beautiful alleyways within the fort. It felt medieval and very special. The suite rooms were massive and elaborate and made us feel royal for at least a couple of days! We wish we could have stayed longer. The family who have owned this Haveli since it was built were truly kind and so knowledgeable, taking us for a tour around the fort as part of the experience. We cannot recommend highly enough. We will be back….!

I LOVED this hotel. It's run by a family who actually lives on site. You can go across the street to have your meals on the rooftop they also own which is directly overlooking one of the 9 Jain temples in old town. Dinner is cooked by the mother and is the best food I've had in my entire trip. Everybody is so nice and kind. The son went out of his way to print my travel documents ahead of my flight. He helped with all the questions we had and offered a free guided tour of old town. You could tell this family cared about the history of their city. Really awesome. And the King room....Quite the experience to stay in this massive 500 year old space willed with columns and old flower paintings everywhere. Really wow!

I did not stay at Hotel Suraj, HOWEVER, on recommendation from family members who had stayed there, we popped in to see if we could have a look around, as they had such a great experience. Honestly, once we arrived and were greeted by Shubum the owner, we really wish had stayed at Hotel Suraj. He happily welcomed us in, showed us around the incredible 500-year-old property and told us such in depth history about the place and Jaisalmer more widely, we left fascinated! So many artefacts and pictures from his family's history within the property, it really should be a museum and him a guide! We had beers watching the sun set on the roof while chatting with Shubum and had such a lovely time. Honestly, if at all possible stay here!
