Amazing haveli located right in the Jaisalmer Fort. Interesting architecture, beautiful views, heritage items throughout the property, delicious restaurant and very professional, warm and helpful staff. We had such a memorable stay at this unique property, I wish we could have spent more time here. The rooms are large and nicely decorated and the views are just amazing. The little stores and points of interest are right out the front door. The porters meet you in the parking lot and take your bags up to the hotel by motorcycle or tuk tuk and you have a short walk up into the fort. The transfer was easy and quick. Don't miss this hidden gem!

Great location just inside the fort, overlooking a part of the fort and the city. Well equipped, clean and comfortable rooms, with great view from the jharokha. Family owned and run, very courteous and hospitable service. Highly Recommended.

What a fabulous property. Lovingly restored to her former glory with modern amenities. Nothing was too much trouble for Rajeev and Manoot. They looked after us so well, such fantastic hosts. Thankyou for making our stay so wonderful and to the rest of your staff as well.

Probably one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in - anywhere. The hotel itself is beautiful. Immaculately clean, charming, a lovely little courtyard area where you can enjoy a chai, and a stunning rooftop restaurant with magnificent views. We booked the room with the giant balcony and it did not disappoint. Wonderful views. Worth every penny. Had candlelit dinners there every evening. They even made us a Rajasthani thali which was just delicious. The room was spotless, massive comfortable bed, clean and modern bathroom. Everything you want after a day of strolling around the city. The main highlight though was the manager and staff. He’s the most helpful hotel owner I’ve come across in my 10 years of coming to India. No scams, he genuinely cares about you and your happiness. He went out of his way to take me to the atm on his bike, helped us to book tickets for lots of things. One of his guys even gave us a free tour of the lake one evening for the light and sound show and for boating, and took us to a lovely cafe for sunset. He offered to take us round the fort too. We got scammed on our desert campsite booking from another company due to it being off-season and everything being closed. The manager here sorted everything out for us and called around to find out which campsites we’re still open. He gave us some choices and made the booking for us. He really is just wonderful. Thanks for an amazing stay!

A bunch of us had booked this property for the weekend - Fri/Sat/Sun. The property took care of everything end-to-end: airport transfers, stay, food, fort guide, desert visit, camel ride, and sand dune dinner with live music. They did everything with a BROAD smile! The property is in the fort, with a stunning view of the fort, the city and the sunrise. The property is extremely well maintained and clean. The rooms and the terrace have stunning views. Minor issues (like water heater not working) were attended to immediately. However, people that can't climb stairs will struggle. Food at the property is simply outstanding. There is a kitchen and chef in the property. ANY local food, drink, fruit, tea/coffee that you wish for will be immediately prepared for you. Anything they cannot prepare, they will get from outside. We simply gorged on Rajasthani cuisine. Weight watchers, beware:-) The Manager of the property and staff were extremely friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I must say that this is a trip that all of us thoroughly enjoyed, and K D Palace Hotel gets all the credit for it.

Rooms are too neat. Nothing short of a five star hotel. The food is freshly made. The hosts are very warm and makes you feel at home. The location is so picturesque. From the rooms and terrace restaurant we could see the fort, palaces, jain temple. All are at a walkable distance

Perfectly located, with a beautiful view, this hotel gives you the flavour of life inside the fort. With exceptional hospitality and great comfort and mouth-watering food one can enjoy a superb Jaisalmer visit undoubtedly!!! Highly recommend K D Palace Hotel.

Rajeev and Vijayant were terrific hosts at this stunningly renovated hotel. They took great care here to bring in authentic artisans in the cultivation of this former haveli and it really shows. The amenities are modern, the flavor pure Rajasthan. The staff at this hotel accommodated me happily. There are only seven rooms, so one feels well taken care of. A special shout out to Pintu who brought me meals promptly and was proactive in making sure everything from bathroom towels to room cleaning were performed. I had a lovely time. I can't recommend this place enough!

We stayed 5 nights at KD Palace in early 2023. The location inside the fort is truly magical and makes for an unforgettable experience. We arrived late into the evening on our first night staying in the Deluxe Twin Room. The view across Jaisalmer was perfect from our sitting window seat and the staff were wonderful and welcoming. The owner and his nephew greeted us and gave us a tour of the hotel and knowing we were arriving late kept the kitchen open for us. The room was super clean and the bathroom was to a very high standard with a power shower that always had hot water. The decor was incredible throughout the hotel and in particular in the rooms. Breakfast on the picturesque roof each morning was tasty, cooked by the hotels in-house chef and all other meals we had in the hotel were incredible. The hotel staff are always on hand to answer any questions you might have about Jaisalmer, Indian culture and the cuisine. We felt very at home. Mid-trip we went on an overnight camel safari (during which the hotel held our luggage for us) and were delighted on our return to be upgraded into the most beautiful room in the hotel - which comes complete with a huge balcony bed so you can watch the sunset / sunrise each day. We stayed another two nights at KD Palace and had a lovely relaxing time. We spent almost a month in India in January 2023 and KD Palace was by far our favourite hotel.
