Because a very bad experience I had with Ozbek Hotel (much below standards advertised by many agencies: see my post of November ), I had to urgently move to a nearby hotel It happened to be at few meters from OZBEK: The Maribor Hotel. The hotel owner, Mr Hassan, warmly welcomed us and even offered a much lower rate than his neighboring hotel. The room was quite large with a double bed, a mini-bar, a nice but tiny bathroom, a wardrobe and a flat TV screen. The overall impression is that the hotel was recently refurbished and new equipment was installed There was no breakfast offered but the hotel has transformed the terrace of the 6th floor into a kitchen with tables around to be freely used by the guests to have their breakfast I even saw in one evening two guests preparing a spaghetti dinner. Moreover, the hotel has provided a washing machine for use by the clients. As far as cleanness of the hotel, I must agree that it was very clean and the two staff in charge of cleaning the rooms were doing nicely their job. The only thing that may disturb any visiting family, is the very tiny lift that can not accommodate more than two persons: so if you are a family of four, you will reach your room in two shifts By the way, this hotel has 15 rooms from 2nd to 6th floor.
