Harris Hotel

Another great meal in the restaurant.Not easy to get booked but got a table at 5.15pm - the dining room was already busy! Lovely Crayfish Caesar Salad to start.Gorgeous North Uist scallops and Black Pudding for my husband as mains and for myself, a superb Lamb Shank.Sticky Toffee Pudding was particularly good too.Nice ambience and good music playing…old standards, as I recall - quality stuff!

We were ataying in Tarbert, waiting for the ferry, and went to the pizza bar for dinner and beer. (we were non residents). Very nice,efficient and friendly staff. Pizzas were great!! Nice surroundings shared with other visitors and locals alike. Would go back.

The cosiest little hotel. Warm and comfortable rooms, delicious food and kindest staff. I came out of the tourist season when everything is closed in town. This hotel was my restaurant, coffee shop and rest stop. Would definitely come back.

We had rooms 1 and 2, for 2nts. 2nd floor, and we had to carry our cases up so if you can’t do that, then ask for an easier to access room. However, both our rooms were wonderful - very large with big bathrooms. Well equipped and very comfortable. We had breakfast, dinner, and packed lunch. All delicious! Big car park. Good location. The staff were really lovely - friendly, with great service. Really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!

We were on a weeks photography course in Harris and Lewis so this was our home for the week. Nice family run hotel. Rooms were nice and mine had a particularly nice large modern bathroom. Regrettably the shower was a bit lame but still, impressive. We ate here each night and breakfast each day and the food was very good. Staff were excellent throughout and the owners were particularly helpful when our taxi never turned up for the airport. They drove us there. It’s an hour!! We stayed an extra night as our flight was cancelled and j can say the prices are very reasonable.

Stayed here for one night. Disappointing. Old at some point just isn’t charming anymore, it’s just old. The whole place is run down, especially the rooms. Food is mediocre at best and in line with a number of experiences in overtouristed Scotland real hospitality is lacking. For these hosts we are just walking ATMs
