Drake Inn

this is a great hotel. its almost the last one on the road so is really quiet and a nice flat walk into the town. we had booked a standard room (8) which is ideal for people with normal sized luggage. unfortunately we had overthought this holiday and had the worlds largest suitcases. there simply wasn't enough room. we upgraded to room 3 which was huge. it also gives you a front decking with a hot tub and another decking behind/above that one. the staff are really helpful, breakfast is eggs.toast and fruits etc. by far the best place to eat is Anibal's. this is half a mile away just before the road curves to the ferry. turn left and its about a hundred yards up there. we were recommended here by the hotel manager but came across it by chance. its always busy while the other places seemed struggling. watch out for the Aji, it's really hot. My only criticism is that in the standard rooms there is too much furniture. there is plenty of seating outside and i the dining room etc. you don't need chairs and tables in the rooms. but that's just a personal thing

It's been a few months since we went and i forgot to write a review. From the moment Rebekka welcomed us 'til the morning we had to check out, we enjoyed our time at Drake Inn. It's right across the street from the beach and our other favorite place, the pink iguana bar. There was bottled water outside available at all times, too. We really enjoyed the rooftop area, where you could hang out, bring your dinner or just enjoy the sunset by the ocean. If we ever make it back to the Galapagos, I'd definitely want to stay here again.

When we arrived, Rebecca was there to greet us, she was very friendly and showed us around the property. The hotel itself is gorgeous. It is located at the edge of town next to Iguana Crossing. The location itself was great as it is ocean front and quiet. We had the entire beach to ourselves during our stay. Rooms were clean, a bit older but expected as it is on an island with a very small population. The rooftop terrace was amazing, I could sit here for hours listening to the ocean. Wished the jacuzzi was a little warmer though for an evening soak but not a deal breaker. Highly recommended!

I have just returned from a stay at the Drake Inn on Galapagos whilst on holiday there with my two children. Ann and Carlos who host the Drake Inn were incredibly friendly and helpful. Really making us feel at home in there lovely beach front Inn. The Inn was incredibly clean and well laid out, the staff all very helpful and courteous. The Island itself is amazing with spectacular views and the Drake Inn has a great view of not only the beach but a flamingo reserve to the back of the property. The house it self is just but a short 15 minute walk to the tortoise sanctuary. All trips advised by Ann and Carlos were both amazing and great value for money, not to mention all the local knowledge held by them on the best places to snorkle. I can't wait to return and hope to stay at the Drake Inn again in the near future.

My husband and I had the most magical time in the Galápagos Islands. The Drake Inn was the PERFECT place for us. It has an amazing view of the beach. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite and the room was incredible with a private balcony. The hotel itself was very clean throughout and the staff were lovely. The Manager, Rebecca was so kind and gave us some great recommendations to shops and restaurants in town. I truly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast with the fresh fruit juice (so delicious!) We highly recommend the Drake Inn!

We enjoyed our stay, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the lounge, front porch, upstairs Sun lounge and back terrace provided lots of space for relaxation. Great location across from the beach and steps from the National Park trail. Rebekka, front desk manager, made all the difference for our Galapagos experience. The island was swamped with people attending the homecoming festival and she managed to get us booked on some snorkelling tours, recommended restaurants, baked muffins for our grandson’s birthday celebration complete with candles, the list is endless. She is an experienced professional hotelier and her skills were much appreciated.She is a treasure!!
