Hotel Don Pedro

Beautiful views from thermal spring fed pool. Family run, very helpful, friendly. Fullyserviced room, comfortable bed, shower. Good breakfast. Jo gave us a lift 5 mins into town, including when we were leaving.

We booked this hotel after reading the previous good reviews, however, the most recent negative comments did make us wonder as to whether we had made a mistake. Nevertheless we need not have worried at all. The hotel definitely lived up to all of the previous good reviews. The hotel is absolutely lovely and full of character. The rooms were very clean, the view from both our balcony and the pool was amazing. We loved our breakfast which was a continental style buffet. The food for dinner was also very nice and full of flavour. There is lots to see and do around the island of Ischia and the hotel is in a great location to access everything the island has to offer. The staff were very helpful and we were pleasantly surprised that they had upgraded us and left us a little 20th Anniversary card and gift on arrival. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Don Pedro Hotel is amazing. We stayed in room 108 which has the most fabulous views from the balcony. The Hotel is lovely, very quaint and characterful. The food and wine is excellent and the staff very friendly. BUT BEWARE of taxi drivers charges. From the Hotel to the Port going home we were charged 25 Euros, which we believe was scandalous for less than a 5 minute ride. From Naples Port to the airport it was 30 euros which was very good value. Overall an excellent Holiday. We recommend visiting Sant Angelo, Mortella Gardens, the Castle and Procida.

Stayed with extended family for 18 nights. Highly anticipated holiday after covid. Arrived 1pm after travelling through the early hours to be told they no longer serve lunch. We were given some leaflets of local takeaways that would deliver. Bizarre start and a trip down to the town incurring a hefty taxi fayre. The surrounding area of the pool was broken and the pool in general is in dire need of maintenance and updating. Parts of the broken edging were repaired whilst we were there after complaints from other residents. Room, very basic and somewhat cramped. No fridge facility which is a great shame as the outside temperatures were very high. After packing I attempted to put our cases onto the top of the wardrobe to maximise space. This was greeted with a huge cloud of dust. I did ask the cleaner the following morning if she could give it a clean which she did but I feel that is a basic area to clean and clearly had not been done for a very long time. Meals, breakfast was OK in parts but lacked variety. Same thing every day and sometimes not particularly fresh (pastries, cake and bread). Evening meal was very inadequate. Some of the starters were better than the mains. Fish full of bones which can be difficult to eat. Pudding was the same every night. Air con in the restaurant was either not on or on very low. Not pleasant to eat in.I do not usually complain or leave negative reviews on Trip Advisor but the holiday cost a great deal of money and these things need to be addressed. Will not be returning especially after the management team apart from Joe did not wish us goodbye or safe travels. Very disappointed.

Just spent a wonderful week at Don Pedro Hotel Ischia. The Hotel is run by a family and is very well maintained and cared for. Wonderful views, beautiful, tranquil and friendly. We stayed on a half board basis and food was amazing, not a buffet style we now so often expect but three courses served to your table. Cannot fault this Hotel 5 ***** Mary Durcan
