Mare Blue Ios

My stay at Mare Blue on Ios Island was absolutely fantastic! The resort's location offered everything in a walking distance. The accommodations were impeccably clean. The staff and more particularly Theodora was friendly, attentive, and made me feel like a VIP throughout my stay. The whole experience was pleasant. Highly recommend!

My stay at Mare Blue Ios was an amazing experience that exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of exceptional service, cleanness and a true taste of Greek hospitality made it a right destination. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a blissful getaway on Ios island.

This is a place that you should not stay at...Very hard to find and the rooms are not that clean. But the noise from the owner having phone conversation at 10pm. No consideration for the guest. Walls paper thin ... Please if you need a good night sleep go elsewhere.

My husband-and-I stayed here for 3 nights. Honestly, it’s what you would expect a 2-star hotel to be. When we first arrived, we got placed in the wrong room because of a miscommunication (the owners don’t really speak English, which is surprising since Ios has mostly international tourists). Our actual room was a 3-bed room because we like the extra space. It was TINY. The bathroom was also small but the worst part of it was the shower. I was born in Europe, so I’m used to showers without curtains, but this one didn’t even have enough of a separation between the shower and the floor, which led to a lot of water ending up on the floor – it made me not even want to shower there. Also, I found quite a few spiders in the room. Additionally, there are not separate balconies so if you want to dry your bathing suite, you have to dry it in on the common patio. One good thing is that they had air conditioning. Another good thing is that it was a pretty good location (near the port). Other than that, it was mediocre at best.

Sale est un euphémisme ! Les chambres ne sont pas faites ou à peine, la douche et la salle de bain dans son ensemble est dégoûtante avec plein de moisissures et de cheveux, les serviettes supposées proposées sont sales, recouvertes de taches d’on ne sait quoi. J’ai trouvé une paire de chaussures sous mon lit et une couche épaisse de poussière, des insectes morts derrière les lits, les vitres pleines de traces bref c’est horrible ! Et pour combler le tout la douche qui n’a pas de pression s’arrête pendant une dizaine de minutes : pratique avec la tête pleine de shampoing. Nous avons loué 3 chambres et nous avons écourté notre voyage tellement nous n’en pouvons plus. 750 euros la chambre pour la semaine c’est du vol vu le manque propreté et le manque de confort. Nous sentons les ressorts du matelas dans notre dos. J’oubliais le service inexistant. En revanche la propriétaire est très souriante. A fuir !
