The location is so good, in the heart of everything. Loved having the wee kitchen dinning area, it's nice not to have to eat out all the time. The bed was really comfy, could turn the heating down and open the window (Greenlanders like rooms hot)... great view of the street from our room, if there was northern lights you would get a great view. Breakfast is across the street and was excellent, lots of food and choice sets you up for the day. Checkin was friendly and informative, leaving was efficient and they took us back to the airport for free.

We did book in February by ********** for two times two nights end of June. The night in between we did stay at the Eqi Lodge. We did get some major issues with this hotel, but I do not know who to blame; the hotel or **********. First we did charge 310 DDK (~ 44 euro) more as booked by ********** Because it is not possible to complain by ********** except by telephone (only an option when you like to wait forever) I do not know who to blame. But if you want to book this hotel, pay in advance. We were not picked up by the airport. We did need to arrange (and pay) a taxi ourselves. According the hotel there was a miscommunication with **********. Minor point: They called them self a hotel, but rooms were not cleaned during the weekend. We did get clean towels after asking for it. The hotel does not have a 24 hours reception. For the good points: Good breakfast at their restaurant at the other side of the street. Very complete (!) room with a kitchen including magnetron, refrigerator, plates, pans etc. Clean, nice rooms with a good bed, a table and two chairs. Good shower. Good wifi. Free café, thee and coco. (The second time there was not much café.) They arranged a way to check-in after office time (close at 6PM) at 7PM coming back from our trip from Eqi Lodge. The location of the hotel is in the center of town, close to 3 supermarkets, several restaurants (mostly closed) and several tour operators. Even with the 300 DDK extra and taxi costs, still a less expense option compared with most other hotels in town. gps: 69.218345, -51.098666

This is a very nice local hotel. The room included a small kitchenette with a cook top and small fridge. The bathroom was very clean and a good size with heated floors (those heated floors are great!). The hotel's location is perfect and easy to walk anywhere in town. I even walked from the hotel to the nearby icefjord trails; the blue, green, and red trails. Breakfast was included with my room, and was served in Cafe Nuka across the street. It was a basic breakfast, and a good way to start the day. Best of all, the hotel staff was very helpful with advice for just about anything you might need. I highly recommend this Hotel Nuka. Yes, this is really a hotel rather than a hostel.

We booked here last minute - day before - as our plans changed out of Sisimiut. I was expecting a hostel but this was a small hotel. It was an excellent value for this bustling town. The room was immaculate, the bathroom had heated floors, and the bonus kitchenette was appreciated. Since it included the excellent breakfast across the street and a ride to the airport, we felt this was an excellent deal. No complaints. The location was not to be beat - we could walk anywhere from groceries to downtown to the waterfront or out to the icefjord.

Cet hotel est très bien situé, au centre d'Ilulissat. Nous avons pu aller partout à pied ( sur les 3 sentiers le long du fjord glacé, à nos différentes activités, au supermarché qui se trouve à 1 minute , ... ) . Les différentes personnes à la réception sont toutes formidables. Tous nos transferts ( de l'aéroport à l'hôtel, de l'hôtel au port lorsque nous devions emmener nos valises ) ont été pris en charge. La réception est ouverte jusqu'à 18h mais , le jour de notre arrivée, ils sont venus nous chercher à l'aéroport malgré l'horaire tardive ( notre avion a atterri à minuit ) . Le personnel a toujours répondu à nos interrogations et à nos demandes avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de professionnalisme. Ils ont même téléphoné pour nous à l'aéroport lorsque notre avion de retour a été annulé. La chambre était très propre. La kitchenette était fonctionnelle. Seul petit bémol : quand on prend une douche, il y a de l'eau partout dans la salle de bain, mais il y a une raclette pour y remédier. Le petit déjeuner est inclus et on le prend au café Nukka, situé juste de l'autre côté de la route, ce qui est très pratique.
