The Red Farm Relais & Spa

We loved our stay here. We traveled with our two kids (6&8) and had a fantastic room. The owner greeted us on arrival with drinks, and we ordered breakfast for the following day. We arrived at around 11am and they kindly let us leave our bags in reception while we used the pool while waiting for our room to be ready. The AC in our room was amazing, and super quiet, so welcome when it was so hot and humid outside. The building is a converted 400 year old farmhouse, its lovely, but the absolute best thing about this place is the pool and jacuzzi. Its so beautiful, and the garden area is so relaxing surrounded with lemon trees and palms. As this is a small hotel there were no more that four other guests at the same time as us every day we went in the pool. Our kids loved it, and us parents even managed to get some relaxation in. We felt we had found a jewel, at a very reasonable cost. There is a tiny slide and a trampoline which we only used once as there were various events going on in the marquee on the grounds, and so it was closed off for part of the day. The room was well appointed and great layout with the kids, and a door out to our balcony overlooking the pool. The hotel is on a main road and despite the modern double glazed windows you could still hear the cars going past a little, but this didn't really bother us, and we slept well. Its in a generally quiet area. However, be aware that in July and August it is Fiesa time in Malta, and the famous St Michael's Fireworks factory is close to the hotel, and in early August fireworks can be set off three times a day (8AM, 12 lunchtime and 9PM) ! Which frightened the life out of us when we arrived, as we weren't expecting it. But we grew to love it, and the fireworks are spectacular, so unique, and made it very special. There is a couple of little shops a couple of mins walk, one called Maypole which has a great bakery inside with delicious local pastries. Other shops/restaurants are around a 20min walk. We made the trip on the bus to the local PAMA shopping center (Route 31, the stop on the hotel side of the road) buses don't always show up on time according to the timetable printed at the bus stop or online. But there is a QR code on each bus stop, so if you scan that it will tell you in real time when its due. If you want to get around the best way is to download the BOLT app and book taxis that way, they are fast, air conditioned, and reasonable. Bolt drivers are mainly non-Maltese, and are polite but dont much like to chat. Local taxi companies don't really like them as they undercut their prices, and dont know the island like they do. You definitely get a better experience with a local taxi driver who is Maltese and will tell you about things on the island on your journey and give you a better insight into Malta, you just pay 10-15% more and have to give them a bit of notice. Very nice accommodation with indoor and outdoor pools, garden and comfortable rooms. Our room was equipped with TV and AC, towels and soap. Our room also had outdoor table and chairs. Breakfast was good and according to our liking. There are wheelchair accessible rooms. Staff were very friendly. Birthday and staff parties are also held here. Location is ideal for quiet time and also close to shops. Recommended.

We loved our stay at the red farm relais and spa. The host and staff are lovely and very helpful. The place is kept super clean including the spa. The breakfast is very good, overall it is a lovely space for a quite stay. We came in September and came again in February. Highly recommend!?

Amazing and very relaxing stay.Very friendly and helpful staff, property and facilities clean and good breakfast.Location of property is central but we didn’t need to get out of the hotel.Thank you for making our stay memorable..will see you again soon!!!

Un bel hôtel, mais un coup de jeune serait le bienvenue. L’équipe est hyper réactive, au petit soin. Le petit dej pourrait être vraiment mieux. La chambre était propre, bien entretenu, spacieuse. Nous avions également réservé l’appartement avec le jacuzzi, qui nous a paru un peu glauque …

Chambre très bruyante du fait de la proximité de la route. On a demandé à changer, on nous a répondu que le possible allait être fait, on est restés dans la même chambre 11 nuits. Mobilier vétuste, lavabo et robinetterie limites, l'eau chaude arrive par intermittence. accès au logement par un escalier en colimaçon rafistolé et peu securitif. Pour le petit déjeuner, pas assez de places pour tout le monde à l'intérieur ( 4 tables au total), donc, parfois obligés de manger à la réception ou à l'extérieur. Sinon, places de parking disponibles sur la route à l'extérieur de l'hôtel, très bon réseau wifi et personnel très gentil pour pallier aux déficiences de l'hôtel.
