We stayed here for our anniversary in September which should be an enjoyable experience but certainly not in our case. On arrival we were ignored for 15 minutes with the manager then shouting at the staff. We were not given any information about the hotel after getting checked in. To say we were horrified at the sub standard room we had been given is an understatement and we decided not to unpack ans see our rep the next morning. After a sleepless night due to the noise from the hotel next door to get up to no electricity and having to shower in the dark and then falling on the flooded bathroom floor we spoke to the rep who did get us moved rooms. This room was no better than the first room. The room was also in a terrible state and we asked to move hotels but unfortunately there was no availability. We were complaining on a daily basis as there was nothing good to say about this hotel. Every day there were queues of guests to see the rep Sandra whi to fair did try and get issues resolved. The food was so bad that we ate out every day. The food was cold and had no flavour at all. We found the staff generally unhelpful especially the customer relations who were either online shopping or sat outside smoking with the manager. Rooms did not get cleaned which was the general consensus to every guest we spoke to. The pictures on the Jet2 website were nothing like real life and the place needs a total gutting out and deep clean. The hotel itself states the hotel is luxury and peaceful but it certainly is not. This has put us off ever returning to Turkey where we have previously enjoyed holidays.

The hotel is lovely, as are the grounds and pool area. Own bit of beach which is lovely. Food. Plentiful, always found something to eat. Fresh fruit and salad, different soup each night. These were delicious. The bread was also really nice. Rooms were big enough, but furniture was tired and in need of replacement. The beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms' nice great water pressure in shower toiletries were a nice touch. Beach stunning Cleanliness poor the cleaners were more interested in playing games on their phones. Rooms were not cleaned, and the bathroom tiked in the shower and floor tiles were disgusting. I cleaned it myself to make sure it was dirty, not just stained. I did complain and had a few issues delt with. But the cleaning staff need to be trained to a higher standard and the housekeeping manager needs to check that the standards are kept high No clothes washing facilities they do provide a wash service but it's very expensive. dining room chairs some need cleaning as rotten. As we're some of the light coloured sofas . Bar. Only one outside but was managed by some lovely staff Entertainment was ok, but at the end of the season, what do we aspect. Front desk. Helpful polite. Spa -fitness room looked lovely but didn't use it. With an upgrade of furniture to a higher standard, a bit more attention to detail, better training, and execution of the cleaners is definitely needed bit more finesse and this hotel will be an absolute dream

Having visited Turkey for years we have never complained or written a bad review. As we don’t expect perfection. But do expect to be able to find something g to eat, drink and have a clean room! However, I have felt that I have no choice other than to warn people not to spend their hard earned money on this hotel. Please read the reviews and the responses from the guest relations! Having arrived at 2am we were not offered a drink or anything to eat. Ok so we have a minibar, will grab a drink in the room..,nope, just water which was not replenished! Following day, AC not working, needed to move rooms. Went to get beach towel, none left at 10am, wait an hour. Waited an hour, still no towels. Given threadbare towels to enable us to use the beach! Beer ran out from the one pump at the one bar. Wait 20 mins?? Didn’t bother! That evening ask for a drink to be told have to pay for international brand. Following day husband given house brand, then third day none left. We had one drink! Food : breakfast consists of eggs, olives, cheese and bread oh and salad! Lunch : salad, chips, olives, chicken wings Melon, 1 / 2 desert Dinner : as per lunch plus a grilled meat plus 2 extra desert choices. Be aware though this is first come first serve as this is not replenished! Regarding cleanliness, rooms are not cleaned at all. In 10 days our sheets were changed once. Towels were hung up not changed. They needed changing as I stood on these to try to keep my feet clean after the shower! Cups from our coffee were left for 3 days and still there when we left, maybe growing mould now!

Great Hotel in an amazing location. We were here for 7 days in early October and cant really fault the experience. Yes, some areas of the hotel do need a bit of updating, towels, some dodgy decking and few stained carpets etc but this did not hinder our experience in any way. The evening entertainment could also do with a little refresh but this may just be due to end of season. We did win the bingo though Really nice hotel made even better by the location to bars/restaurants and the beach of course! Friendly cats roam the site also :). Will definitely be back!

The room we were allocated on arrival was shabby. I won’t go into details but it was 5.30am so we registered our dissatisfaction, did not unpack and slept on top of the beds. Next morning we were moved, with a smile, to a much smarter cleaner room. It’s not the problem that rates a company, but how they solved it. So, well done Marti. Wi-fi here is mediocre, but every other day it disconnects you. The usual log-in page does not work so you must go to reception to get logged in. Great fun, as I’d arrive with my ipad and iphone along with my wife’s too. At one point I had to add my eBook reader and my laptop as well! (I write.) I later discovered that they have to enter your date of birth and email into the system for you to log on yourself. They don’t bother to do this. Bonkers! The food is good and varied. They have a Chinese restaurant in the hotel which makes a break from the main restaurant, but the menu is the same every day and is hardly Chinese in the truest sense. You can also eat al fresco under the moon! The rooms are quite adequate and air-conditioned, a godsend when external temperatures at night are in the high twenties. The bathrooms are big, and we had a walk-in waterfall shower, a favourite of mine. The staff have little english and at times this can make a simple request quite difficult. A couple of times I saw people at reception being quite rude to struggling guests. There is a pool with a bar and a strip of private hotel beach, but as usual, get out early to bag a sun lounger. If like me, you are a snorkeler, the local sea is not worth bothering with. The hotel is a bit of an oasis. Much of the sea front is full of classic “beach view hotels” with music bars and lots of lager being drunk, but upon entering the Marti it all appears calmer and more relaxed. (Having said that about Içmellor, Marmaris is like Blackpool on acid!!!) Each evening there is entertainment laid on which you can take…. or leave. Mostly good fun. The hotel even has a couple of card tables, pool table and a table tennis table. Generally, I would say the Marti could be a terrific hotel but is is not. It needs a smartening up and a lot of staff training. I don’t believe they realise that most people have spent a lot of money to be there. I came to the Marti to chill. I was not here for day trips and excursions. All in all, I enjoyed the 14 day stay. Would I go back? Sadly not.

Good first impressions - the foyer/main areas of the hotel are airy, clean and tidy with grounds staff frequently maintaining/ collecting rubbish. Given how noisy and overwhelming the surrounding area can be, the ability to relax between garden (with beautiful planting), pool, bar or any of the indoor spaces was a welcome relief. Plenty of sunbeds, tables and sofas which meant as a family we were able to spread out/separate or sit together as suited (whether indoors or out). Option to play pool/table tennis in the shade also appreciated. Pool was deep but a good size and always clean. Bedroom was tired and admittedly still felt grubby after cleaning - in the bathroom and underfoot specifically (including balcony). Attention to detail, like removing damp stains from wardrobe, deep cleaning bathroom etc would certainly improve overall feel of the room. However, considering the largest portion of your holiday is spent outside, these aspects are minor and just small points the hotel could consider improving on. Food is plentiful in choice and our entire group with differing tastes all enjoyed it - yes some repetition but only as seen in any AI. Drinks were good, though more non-alcoholic options would be good. Plenty of tea/coffee areas. Could do with more staff on outside cocktail bar who did sometimes seem overloaded/inconvenienced. However, for the main part we found staff could not do enough to help - we had a couple of issues with our safe and shortage of room supplies - staff dealt with this quickly and were always professional. We've noted the more negative reviews and overheard complaints during our stay - some of the guests we encountered came across as entitled and were downright rude to staff (it was embarrassing to see) - maybe treat people with kindness and respect and you will get a good service in return. We only noticed one staff member on their mobile during a week's stay, and this may well have been their break? Views from the hotel and surrounding area are beautiful but the area itself is not for us - music all hours of day and night did detract from the hotel positives, but that's just personal preference.

Extremely poor Poor Management which extends to poor and negative experience In 30 years travelling to many countries staying in 2☆ and 5☆ accommodation with my wife have I ever stayed in a hotel with a feelingof such negativity from walking through the door from the moment we arrived. Hotel didn't have our booking 30 minutes wait while they sorted it out with no real communication of what was happening as the lady on reception didn't speak a word of English First 6 days room cleaned twice. Reported more than once, then returned from a all day boat cruise to an uncleaned room with no clean towels in bathroom. Which resulted in us having to confront said manager and guest relations sitting outside enjoying a drink thinking everything with this hotel is perfect. They offered to upgrade us to a suite with a sea view which we refused. We just want what we had paid for a 4☆ hotel with a 4☆ service. Cleanliness of the hotel is very poor still stains on the staircase from spilt drinks from over a week ago . Floors in toilets very dirty Don't look under your beds whatever you do. Staff more interested in watching football on mobile phones than serving drinks, Dirty tables when going in for breakfast, dinner and evening meals. Food extremely poor cold at times. Every day someone kicking off in reception Guest relations more interested in online shopping than sorting issues out. Outside snack bar during day observation not once did we see a table cleaned/ wiped over after someone had finished a meal. Over 20 emails with Tui to resolve our issues with no resolution Staff should be better trained so a big Management issue A good leader will inspire it's Staff basically I doubt he couldn't care less. Seen the jet2 rep giving more instructions to staff than the hotel manager. This was our 4th visit in 12 months other hotels were way better. The Faros Premium even though it was downgraded to a 3☆ was way better than this place. Friendly staff nice food very attention to detail and so customer friendly.

The location is absolutely lovely. The hotel and staff met our expectations. The food was good, with a variety for all tastes, However, don’t forget you are in Turkey! Not in the UK! The cocktail menu was limited… But that didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves! The wellness centre and spa was a must do! Absolutely lovely Turkish massage! Overall, we had a lovely stay, but with a few tweaks In most areas this would have made it an outstanding experience. We have no complaints for our stay.

We have just returned from a 9 night stay at the Marti La Perla we booked mainly for the location being both on the beach and nice an central to the town, we were aware of previous reviews but like to make up our own mind, in summary we had a nice pleasant stay and enjoyed our time, the hotel has a great opportunity to cash in on the AI market but there are a number of areas that need to improve to enhance the guests stay and perception although I feel the hotel is trying hard to do this. Food Breakfast is not really aimed at UK guests but there is always something available fried eggs, fresh omelettes, lots of salad/cheese and fruit but could be improved very cost effectively by some simple additions with the addition of some sliced bread and a toaster and perhaps some breakfast pastries like croissants/pain au chocolat etc. Lunch in the restaurant is largely a little like a cut down of evening meal as you might expect. Snack bar is very good with burgers & meatballs cooked fresh to order and served with chips very tasty and well made, maybe some guests would like a cheese toastie option. Evening restaurant as others have stated it seems a little more geared to the Turkish or Russian guests nothing wrong with that but could be a bit more in show cooking grilled meats etc to bring the experience to life a bit. Ice creams and afternoon snacks are served everyday in the inside bar area as is coffee and tea all very nice. Serving staff in the restaurants are on the whole hard working but seem to lack leadership as one night we watched a waiter spend the whole time we was in there watching football on his phone while walking around collecting plates and clearing tables I’ve never seen this in any restaurant of any star usually there a some head waiters ensuring staff are kept busy looking after customers correctly. Pool and beach areas are great and it was always possible to find a sunbed, the gounds and location are a great plus to the Marti la Perla. The bar is a bit hit and miss some staff are great and make good drinks others not so but seems to lack a little in customer engagement that often add that personal touch to a stay. Rooms are actually quite good but the cleaning really lets it down, it’s like the cleaners don’t have a list of items that they should do, floors don’t seem to get cleaned at all and often some items are replenished others aren’t, and then you have to ask which seems like your complaining then which I suppose you are. Power cuts are a frequent annoyance and are only affecting the hotel and if you’re near the front of the hotel a very noisy generator kicks in, seems more frequent in a morning so if your room is facing the entrance you can forget a lay in, also stops the lift and plunges your bathroom into darkness. Entertainment is reasonable as you would expect in an AI hotel with shows every night except Sunday, and most afternoons there is a pianist playing in the coffee area of the hotel. In summary there are
