We were on a scuba diving holiday and wanted to stay somewhere close to the boat. Firstly, the positives. The cleaning staff and security are lovely and very personable and friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious, albeit quite dated, and the beds were comfy. The hotel was clean and the grounds were very green. However, the food isn’t great. I’m vegan and had emailed weeks prior to ask about vegan options. I was told there was a “vegan, vegetarian and gluten free corner” which I never found. When I asked about dairy free milk, I was given a creamer - luckily I checked the ingredients as it was a milk product. We ate out every day instead. Free WiFi in the lobby - you have to pay for it in the rooms but it’s not the best. On the last day, we weren’t being picked up until 7.30pm. However, we were not able to use the all inclusive facilities once we had checked out. We were given a card we could use in the restaurant and to get soft drinks for a few hours - I’ve genuinely never had this before in any all inclusive hotel I’ve stayed in. Would have been helpful to have this explained to us when we arrived. Seems a bit of a con as we didn’t arrive to the hotel to gone 11pm on our first day! We will absolutely be back to Hurghada because the scuba diving is incredible, but will be staying elsewhere next time.
