Courtyard Huntsville University Drive

Hallways reeked of mold/mildew and would have caused us to leave if we hadn’t been exhausted from driving all day. The signage is very poor as there is only one sign at the only entrance and the sign is obscured by trees. We had to drive past several times before we finally found the entrance.

Marcus, Deondre and the crew made the visit a 5. Decent property, a bit dated, but very clean. Relaxing vibe, incredibly well stocked fitness center. Kudos to the general manager or whomever is responsible for the dumbbells up to 100! I’ll definitely choose this hotel should my travels take me to Huntsville again!

I recently stayed at this property and I was telpted to cancel my reservation based on the Google reviews of this property. I decided to give it a chance since there were no other Marriott properties nearby with availability. Arrival: I arrived close to 10p.m. and was waiting on another guest to be checked in first. The desk receptionist asked for my info, ran my card and handed me my room key. Since I'm a Platinum Elite member, I'm usually thanked for my business and for being an Elite member. That did not happen. When I was given my keys, the receptionist didn’t tell me which way to go to get to my room on the first floor. The first floor rooms were located on opposite sides of the hotel, so I had a 50% chance of going the correct way. Since I was in pain due an injury sustained the previous day, I hoped I guessed correctly the first time. Thankfully, I did. Room: I had requested a room on a high floor and ended up with an accessible room on the 1st floor. Upon entry, all the drawers were open. I regularly had to keep closing the drawers throughout my stay since they kept opening due to the dresser not being level. The beds were ok, but there was a slight weird smell on the brown blanket on one of the beds. It almost smelled like stomach acid. There were partial bug carcasses in the corners near the ceiling, moldy tile in the bathroom showe, broken towel rack, and partly used lotion in the bathroom. Also, the light by the door appeared to be missing a cover, so it just had the exposed bulbs. Both room keys stopped working 1 day before my departure. I know that I didnt place them near anything that would've deactivated them. So I'm not sure why they quit working. Food: I didn't try any food since I had to leave early each morning and there were already people waiting on their food each morning. Checkout: Checkout was ok. No complaints. Overall: The hotel is set back from the road and VERY easy to miss, especially at night. I was not a fan of this hotel and do NOT plan on staying here again.

Very sub par Courtyard/Marriott property.Dated and not well kept. Understaffed and Bistro not open at night. At breakfast terribly understaffed—appeared that front desk was (not very well) staffing Bistro. Staff wasn’t friendly or attentive—just trying to get through it. GM solicited my feedback and then bizarrely disregarded it. Marriott should be embarrassed by this property. If I could give this a negative star I would—terrible property. FIX THIS MARRIOTT.

Terrible place was charged for my tiny dog after being told at booking there would be no charge paid extra for continental breakfast but there was none towels were wet room smelled awful maids did not change the towels or clean my room free showtime that keeps buffering so you can’t really watch it a total rip off never been so dissatisfied with a hotel terrible save your money

The check in was pleasant but it is hard to believe how the quality has gone down at Marriott. If my husband was not with me, I would not have stayed. The hall smelled like pot. the door was broken and open at the side entrance. The lamp shade was dented and the pooled drained. Yuck!

- We calling to The Hotel for help but non of associate willing to help , they say they on busy can't follow up what we need please consider to stay here And we never want to get back to this hotel anymore GM was bad and rude ..as I’m use to work for this company and my expectation there has more experience and well train but honestly non of them understand what the hospitality is look like and how to spend it.. keep bad as much as you can ….

Nice Hotel but it is dated. The Front Desk staff was nice and made me feel welcomed. My room was nice and clean. Nice comfortable bed, had a sofa and desk, the AC worked well and was quiet. Good size bathroom and shower. The pool was closed on my visit and it was drained with the gate locked. The ice machines were turned off. If you wanted ice for your room you had to walk up to the office.
