Résidence Prestige Odalys l'Eclose

Very comfortable, smart accommodation (family of 4 in a 2 bed apartment). The pool is busy in the late afternoons but we did visit during half term so to be expected. Quieter from about 7.30pm (closes at 8pm). Need to book a spot in the sauna/steam room after 4. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful as were the spa staff. Many reviewers have commented on the icy slope up to the nearest ski lift and I agree it is icy and easy to slip if not careful. Something the hotel could chose to do something about if they wanted to (although it may not be their land). It is possible to cut out some of the slope by walking across to the road. Intersport shop in the building so very convenient for equipment hire (also do sledges by the way). We took the option of bakery delivery every morning and tried the takeaway from the restaurant. Pizza and burger very tasty but the chap running the restaurant was a bit rude (probably a bit stressed). Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

Very unhelpful and incompetent staff. Ridiculously small rooms with no place to even open a luggage, not to mention the small room supposed to fit four adults. Junior Suite room contains one double bed and one sofa-bed which cannot be called sofa-bed, you can see it in the photo, it is not even the right size for an adult to sleep. We checked-in in the room and we saw how small the room was so we went to reception to change the room, since it was not what we ordered. We did not want to stay in the small room for a whole week, thus we were forced to pay 500€ to get what we actually ordered in the first place. One more thing, at first then we checked-in we went to the wrong corpus of the hotel and we were let in the wrong room by the hotel staff. Approximately 30-40 minutes later they came to say that it was a mistake and we need to move quickly to our actual room (the small one). We did it quickly and did not have time to take our trash out and we were not informed that we need to do that. During the discussion with receptionist about how small our room was and that we want to change ot the cleaning fee came up, she said that we need to pay 100 € cleaning fee, since we went to the wrong room even though the staff let us in there. Moreover, at first the receptionist told us that they ar fully booked for the whole week and were is no possibility to get a bigger room. After intense discussion the bigger room was miraculously found. I asked the receptionist if we agree to change the room for additional 500 € do we still need to pay cleaning fee but now for two rooms, since we already moved to the small one and friends been there for an hour or so while were waiting for the room change. The receptionist confirmed couple of times that in case of the room change we do not pay any additional cleaning fee. We got the room changed. At the time of leaving we cleaned our room perfectly but we still were charged 100€ cleaning fee for the small room. We got in touch with the hotel and they send us photos of dirty bathroom and hair in it even though we did not have time to use the small rooms bath. It is not only ridiculous that they charged us for a trash bag 100 €, but also that they et people in dirty rooms. It was a terrible experience, not to mention that from ski room you have to climb in the slippery and icy mountain with ski gear to the ski lift. Avoid this apartment hotel if you can. It is far far away from 5 stars.

I would strongly advise against staying here. Treatment of guests is awful and dangerous levels of malpractice/negligence. Let me begin by listing the problems with the room we had: - the shower drain was blocked and smelled absolutely disgusting. - the toilet door was fitted incorrectly and was almost impossible to open from the inside - you could easily have been trapped in. And it gets worse… You have to put down a 500EUR deposit when you arrive, and the hotel seem determined to keep as much of it as possible, here is how they got us. During our stay a complaint was made about another room who’d left rubbish outside their door. The hotel proceeded to film the entire corridor and charger every single room with literally anything left outside the door - in our case an empty bottle of wine which was there for minutes before we took it to the waste disposal outside the hotel. Presumably this is purely to make more profit because I doubt this money was passed on to those who complained. We were also told that we’d been served a written warning about this, which was not true. Now the most serious issue… During our stay a fire alarm went off at about 8am one morning leading to a full building evacuation, we smelt fire and it was clear this was not a drill. We stood outside in the cold for close to 10 minutes with the alarms still going off, yet in this time not a single member of staff arrived at the muster point or did anything to direct, reassure, or help hundreds of mostly freezing people. Once the alarm went off there were still no staff to be seen, we were left to re-enter the building at our own risk. This negligence towards safety let alone breaching European and French fire safety legislation is alarming, and for this reason alone I’d say this is an unsafe place to stay. I would avoid it at all costs.

We had a great stay at Résidence Prestige Odalys L'Éclose. The rooms are lovely and modern. Location is great, only a couple minutes walk to a lift that takes you the slopes. Kitchen was fine and had pretty much everything you'd need. Not too far from the main village centre either. We stayed with 4 people in a two bedroom apartment and it was a good size for us. Really enjoyed our holiday and it was a great stay.

Pas à la hauteur d’un 5etoiles et des notes affichées. L’accès aux pistes et remontées mécanique est contraignant et dangereux si vous êtes chargé. La piscine est bruyante et l’immensité du bâtiment (250 logements) lui donne des airs d’aéroport. Nous avons largement préféré notre expérience dans l’Odalys des Arcs.

Séjour qui s'est parfaitement bien passé, vaisselle manquante. Appartement spacieux et neuf. Résidence au top : entrée services bar piscine SPA. Appartement spacieux, le canapé lit pour des couchages supplémentaires est non confortable, inutile de les compter en couchage supplémentaire, c'est bien dommage d'ailleurs !
