A terrible hotel. Do not stay here. The restaurant shuts at 9pm even on Saturdays (being change over day) so despite having paid we were left without dinner. The rooms are tiny and don’t even have basics like shower gel, a hair drying etc. Similar standard to a €50 euro a night Formula 1. The staff are unhelpful and don’t seem to care. The bar is dark and dingy with no character (like Butlins).

Awful!! Do not go here!!! Worst Ski trip of my life thanks to this hotel. Arrived at 14:00 to be told by reception that check in is at 17:00. Anything we can do until then? - their reply: no. We got a room key that did not work and we couldn't use until we had a room booked - despite having booked all inclusive we were asked to put money on the card in order to use it, when pointing this out they back tracked and said "oh! Ok. that's fine, but you can't use the card until you have a room". Couldn't get our ski equipment as apparently we need a room assigned first - which later turned out to be wrong information!! They promised we could check in at 16:00 if rooms were ready before - so went to reception at 16:00 to find reception was shut!!! Why offer an early check in if you're closing reception for that time?! Come 17:00 it was absolute mayhem! there was a good 20 people who wanted to check in at the same time and 2 staff who by the way barely spoke English!! If you are not french - you WILL NOT feel welcomed here as either the staff can barely speak English (an absolute No No in the hotel industry!!!) or choose to be difficult with non-french guests. Especially given as apparently the entertainment events in the evenings were suitable for French and English guests as per their own event plan and menus - however were purely french. We had to go to reception 3 times to get all the information we needed because they just can't be bothered with you and just want to rush you through. The rooms are AWFUL!!! I don't know where the 3 star hotel rating has come from but it surely wasn't from the rooms! You can hear every noise from the neighbouring rooms - including them sitting on the toilet!!! There was a random locked door to our neighbour room and best of all: the room was absolutely tiny and you COULD NOT switch on the radiator. We tried everything but it would come on in the most inconvenient times and was off when you would need to dry your clothes. The beds are rock hard - so good luck with any back pain or injuries. There is no hairdryers and the "shampoo" is a bar of soap! The showers are really high bathtubs with a shower head and without an anti slip in the shower - so if you've injured yourself skiing or are a bit unsteady on your feet - good luck with that! The ski hire was the biggest joke of all!!! The instructions on what to do are unclear and the staff don't even follow them! We went down to hire skis at 17:00 after check in and didn't get back out until 18:45 because everyone else has to hire skis too and the shop is tiny! You have to queue to "check in" even though you can do that online - however after checking on online you will be ignored!! So after 25 minutes queueing you are told to sit and wait for someone to help with boots. However they don't know the order of when people have sat down for the boots so it's a free for all who is being served first and absolute mayhem as the Skiiers who have already hired equipment are coming

Upon arriving at the hotel we found out that we were unable to check in until 4pm bearing in mind we arrived at the hotel at 2pm. The reception and bar were closed which left us with no food or water. We spoke to a worker who gave us the room key but told us we couldn’t go to the room yet as it wasn’t ready! Weird considering check out is 9am! The only place to store luggage was an open room with people coming and going which was not secure and we did not want to leave our luggage unattended! We had booked ski hire for 6 days and due to the lack of secure luggage storage we were unable to ski that afternoon meaning that we wasted money paying for 6 days hire when in fact we only had 5 days hire. Once 4pm rolled around the check in process was nothing like I’ve ever seen before! Utter chaos! People who had arrived by coach all piled into reception leaving it a free for all. After queuing for 20 minutes I finally spoke to the woman at reception who simply told me the room number. I had to ask for the wristbands for food- I only knew about these as I’d seen others being handed them. I was given absolutely no information regarding the area, the hotel and amenities, ski hire or passes. Thank goodness for Google. After being told our room number we went upstairs to then find the key wouldn’t work! After waiting for hours for the room, the key wouldn’t even work. A cleaner let us into the room and we had to resolve the key issue later in the evening. We were disgusted by the bathroom (see images of snot and dirt on the walls and mould on the ceiling). The tap water smelt awful as well, especially after the water was turned off one day. We came back to the hotel for a shower at 4pm after skiing all day to discover no running water. I went down to reception to find it closed and asked a cleaner what the problem was and she had little English and directed me to a sign stuck to the wall. Signs stated the water was off 2-2:45 due to a technical intervention. It was after 4pm that the water eventually came back on. Midway through the week the floor that we were on (5th) smelt absolutely awful, like sewers. This smell only grew stronger and ended up seeping into the room meaning we had to put a towel under the door. The smell was unbearable and every time we left the elevator we had to run to the room. The reception staff were not much use as we had to ask for toilet roll one day to only be answered with ‘huh’. Didn’t know it was that hard to ask for toilet paper. The food was menial, the same options for breakfast everyday. The sausages were gross, the scrambled egg looked like jelly. The evening meal options were hardly intriguing. The ski hire process was a nightmare. There is no other way to describe the staff there other than rude. I was allocated boots and skis at the beginning of the week which were supposed to have been set correctly, mid way through the week I realised that they hadn’t been aligned correctly as my ski boot didn’t clip in prop

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Club MMV Les Bergers. **Positives:** - You can ski directly to the lifts. - The quad rooms consist of two interconnected rooms. - The food is good, with a great selection of vegetarian options. Just be aware that one mid-week night is designated as a vegetarian night. - There is unlimited free wine with dinner. - The staff are very friendly. - The hotel has a spacious boot room and a rental shop conveniently located on-site. - It's conveniently close to the Moose Bar and only a 15-minute walk into town. I highly recommend visiting the Underground Bar for live music. **Negatives:** - The rooms are basic, similar to those in Premier Inn hotels, so don’t expect more than 2 or 3-star quality. - You need to load a card with money to purchase drinks, which can be inconvenient if the reception is closed. - The atmosphere is very French, with French entertainment in the evenings. While I found it enjoyable, it may not appeal to everyone’s taste.

No hairdryers, shampoo in room. small block of soap. rooms are really small. Food not wonderful. Really noisy in that I could hear every word said in the room next to mine - and I dont mean voices, I could follow the conversation! Ski out but have to walk about 5 mins back from central ski area. I would not rate this hotel as 4star perhaps 3 1/2 at most! However.... Service was great, staff good. Childrens club staff were excellent!

We just got back from our ski trip. The hotel is pretty bang average, another word to describe it in some instances is carnage. I think we had high expectations which was maybe our own fault. Firstly the check in process was pretty awful, we went with Crystal Ski who said check in opened at 5pm, they told us it was 6pm, and when we challenged they then told us the room is in fact ready. They gave us no info about the hotel, location, food times, we had to ask all of this, which was quite frustrating. The lobby area is just always so busy, people checking in at all times of the day but because they have this ridiculous 6pm check in, the luggage just goes everywhere, one of the days, the luggage room was full, so was a spare area they have for seating and it all ended up just being left in the main lobby, meaning you just have to dodge bags when walking through. The rooms are really small, luckily only two of us, so not too bad, the location is good, only a short ski to the Marmottes lift but it is not a ski in location, and only ski out in pretty good snow conditions. The locker/ski area is utter carnage, there are no lockers per say, just a dumping ground to shove skis in, we hardly used this because the first time we did, someone had just knocked our ski’s over and then didn’t pick them back up. They will give you a number of where to put your stuff but again, it’s just carnage and no one follows it. The spa is a bit of a joke, the pool is heated but is still freezing and far too cold to go in, unless you are doing a proper swim session (in which it’s too small to do so). You can only go into the Spa once per week after 4pm, and by spa, it’s only a Sauna, they got rid of the jacuzzi over a year ago, which is odd. Breakfast and dinner were pretty good, fair amount of options and the quality of food was good, desert a particular favourite. It does get extremely busy, and it’s a relatively small area so you spend a lot of time having to dodge people. The bar has some good drinks, we opted for the cocktails mainly (we were half board, not all inclusive), don’t think they were too overpriced either. We did hear from the people on all inclusive they ran out of beer one night, which didnt go down well. Other reviews sort of mentioned this but the reception team control everything, any little thing you want like a hairdryer you have to ask for it, they also control the heating in the rooms, which we didn’t even realise until one of the last days. So if you need to dry your clothes or it’s not as warm, you need to ask them to turn it up etc Overall, we had a great time at the resort, slopes were amazing, but I was really disappointed in the hotel, and I would not return here again, for the price we paid and the outcome, it just wasn’t worth it.

We enjoyed our week at this hotel. There were positive and negatives , I will list them below; Positives- Always lovely and warm inside Staff were friendly Food was varied and very good- catered for vegetarians also Equipment hire inside hotel Lovely afternoon cakes after skiing Nice chill area with fire Near to a supermarket Right next to auris and les bergers lifts Not too noisy Free wine with meals Negatives- Rooms were quite small Location of hotel not good for families who have children attending ski school- it’s a fair walk carrying skis. This location is not ski in No hairdryers or kettles in rooms The hotel in my opinion is basic but rooms were cleaned daily, staff were friendly and the areas to sit in hotel are nice. Food was good and there is everything you need to enjoy your holiday.

We got here LATE (10.30pm - Sat 21st) We go to our room, the Key don’t work, also we had a joining door with the room next door which wasn’t locked so had to go back down to reception to get the key working and for the joining door to be locked. Then also the Safe needed a key, why not give us the Safe Key when you registered our room? We asked about food and there was “salad” left that looked like it had been left there all evening…. No bread or anything to even make anything even tho we asked! We were advised that Breakfast in the restaurant was 7am – 9am/9.30am Sunday 22nd – We woke about 8am, headed down to breakfast. It looked like the place had been ram-sacked and there was hardly any food there. Yet we were advised breakfast service was until 9/9.30am. We had to ask for bread (again), there was 1 toaster with 4 toasting slots, you had to boil your own eggs but people would steal yours if you didn’t stand there guarding them for the full 8 mins. Fried eggs were not cooked and slimy on top and queues out the door. Hotel staff (plenty of them) didn’t seem to want to clear the tables, walked past plenty of them with nothing in their hands just wondering around. We cleared a table and had some toast with the scraps of bread off cuts that was left. Partner went for some Granola and there was no milk, had to ask for that and again that seemed like a massive effort by the staff.. All the pastry’s gone yet we paid for Half Board and by 8am all the food was gone and nothing else was being put out…. At this point we just knew this holiday was destined to be a disaster and we were already dreading the evening food service if the breakfast one was anything to go by! The next day (Monday 23rd) we headed to breakfast, again around the same time (8am) and again, hardly any food left, tables had used plates and cups all over, staff still wondering around but not clearing tables, I literally couldn’t believe it, when we tried to ask for more bread to be put out, or a pastry the staff didn’t understand us either and this became quickly frustrating that we had to ASK for more food at 8am when Breakfast service was 7-9.30am and that we had paid quite a lot for this holiday for our Christmas Present, to go half board and pretty much not get any breakfast two days running was unreal… Again this was the same for the evening, food was terrible and choice was poor and anything beyond 7.30pm there was hardly anything left and they stopped putting food out! Xmas Eve – was probably the best food evening, we actually had a form of meat (beef) and veg which was nice and this was the ONLY day the food was good and they had plenty of it right up until the close of service! Then back to the usual sh*t on Xmas Day where you think it would be better given its Christmas Day, breakfast and evening meals couldn’t believe it, it was diabolical and back to having hardly any of it and scrapping around for anything, bread, maybe some butter, a yoghurt….. anything!!
