I had an unplanned trip to Hubli following a business meeting, and I chose to stay at The President Hotel, Hubballi, booking a Suite room for added comfort. After a long drive from Bengaluru, my intention was to rest and recharge for a hectic day ahead. However, at around midnight, the air conditioning unit in the bedroom began making loud, disturbing noises. I immediately reported this to the reception/hotel manager on night duty. To my surprise, I was initially offered a table fan as a temporary solution—despite having paid a premium for a Suite room that includes air conditioning. Only after insisting that I could not sleep without AC was I offered an alternative room. Unfortunately, I had to move my own luggage from Suite 121 to Room 321, with no assistance provided. Given the standard expected from a property of this level, I was disappointed with both the handling of the situation and the overall hospitality. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the hotel lacks a closed parking facility, which may be inconvenient for guests traveling by car. I hope this feedback is taken constructively to help improve guest experience in the future.
