!!WARNING anyone else who has booked with them!! Hi Dave-I am reaching out in the hopes that you will pay back money owed to myself and at least 2 other people who had booked to stay at Clydesdale. You have taken bookings and payments for accommodation that you knew full well you would not be able to honour, as you had sold the property. No attempt was made to get in touch with customers and refund them-you have simply absconded with our money. We have been trying to get reimbursement from you for weeks now and your promises have been fruitless. I am writing this in the hopes that this will spur you to do what is right and return our money immediately. This is essentially theft and says a huge amount about your character.

we have booked at clydesdale and paid for the accommodation two months in advance, a day before we could arrive we were notified that the farm has been sold and the new owners cannot accommodate us. we were left stranded!! if anyone can assist in finding the owner please contact me as i am still battling to get a refund from Dave!!

Loved the accommodation and surroundings. Peaceful and fresh in the morning. Was staying there as attending a function close by. The staff very friendly and rooms were huge. Impressive was there were lights to show pathways during LoadShedding.

Our stay was hugely disappointing! We organised to stay at Clydesdale with all of our groomsmen and bridesmaids as we were getting married across the road. Dave was great at email communication and responses in our requests but on arrival we were hugely disappointed. None of the rooms were ready at 2pm, there was no one there for check in - we had to wonder around looking for someone to point us in some sort of direction - our room was filthy (bat or lizard poo on the bath, in the bath and I walked through about 3 spider webs!), our geyser wasn’t working so we had no hot water in 10 degree weather, the tea and coffee station has not been refilled, soap shelf made of glass was broken above the bath and not taken care of before our arrival with a toddler… the list goes on. Unfortunately this set the tone for the rest of the weekend making none of us wanting to return or recommend it to anyone.

The communal facilities and rooms were not clean following a function from the previous evening. The owner was rude and unaccommodating. Beautiful setting that we wont be back to purely due to the poor service.

On a arrival the lady was friendly but didnt know where to book us in. We selected our own room. The bathroom had mud foot prints on the floor and carpet. For the two days we stayed there we batled with hot water and didnt know where to report. Luckily I managed to get hold of a worker on the site and they came and assisted so we had hot water when we left. Thank you to you maintanance team for there prompt friendly service. Over all the view and quite peacefull nature sounds next ti the river perfect for a nice break away.

Very enjoyable and relaxed visit. If you are wanting tranquility, peace and awesome scenery as well as the "roaring sound" of the Lions River, Clydesdale is a definite place to stay. For arty and qwerky shopping, take the Nottingham Road you will experience the most amazing sights and scenery.

Very adequate and pleasant accommodation. No frills etc.Just a nice place to stay if one needs a bed in the Midlands. Nice and close to the action around The Midlands Miander and only 1hr and a bit from Durban.

What a stunning place in the middle of nowhere, away from the hustle and bustle of life. No TV's in rooms, so brilliant opportunity to connect with nature, family and the resident dogs. Only down side are the roads in the area, but the destination makes it worth while
