Bell Tent Glamping at Royal Victoria Country Park

We went with a big group over many of the tents, friends and family. We had the best time. John and Alison went out of their way to ensure everything ran smoothly and our event felt special. I cannot fault a single thing... beds were comfy, facilities clean, staff friendly and helpful. The woodland was accessible, the park and attractions nearby were great and we will 100% be back. Thank you so much to you all - the kids LOVED IT

Lovely area, right in the heart of the park. Easy to find, if you pay attention to the instructions and signs. Beautifully quiet night & day. Clean toilets/shower block. Approx. 20m from our tent, no.6. John the site owner tells me they are completely rebuilding the block and will be including a family room to make it easier on those guests with children. Beds were very comfortable, electric fire heated us up within five minutes. The single light was very atmospheric, more so when put behind the electric fire. Bedding is not provided, other than a sheet covering the mattress, so remember to bring duvet/sleeping bag, pillows, blankets. Kitchen was clean and well-stocked with cutlery/crockery, with a fridge for each 2 tents. Lovely big gas cooking range, but we didn't use it. In addition to the BBQ fireplace for each tent, there is a large bowl-type firepit which would be lovely to sit by of an evening. Please note, you need to provide your own wood/charcoal, but it is available to buy on-site for £10. Cedar Rooms Restaurant & Café is a ten minute walk away and is not part of the glamping site. Seating inside and out, good choice of meals, but only open until 5:00 pm April-October. Very popular with the dog-owning community.

Brilliant time we all had as a group. The tent is spacious and clean. Everything worked and beds were comfy. Bathrooms were clean and the area of the country park is lovely with lots of nice areas around the site. The surrounding areas were noisy some nights but that is to be expected on a campsite and no fault of the actual site.

We absolutely loved our stay here, exactly what was needed to 'fill my cup' again. Lovely owners/managers, great facilities, well maintained. The tents include beds, very effective heaters and a power point. The kitchen area is well equipped with free tea and coffees too. There's BBQ areas and decking/picnic table for each pit. We stayed as a family of four and found it truly relaxing. Highly recommend taking a walk to Hamble - buy your crabbing equipment from the Coop in Hamble Square.

We had such a lovely 2 night stay here. The campsite is very clean, facilities are excellent, the showers/toilets were shining they do a great job with staying on top of this. The surrounding area is lovely with lots to see, great for kids and dogs. Price point is great and well worth it. Jimmy was always around to help with questions and he was very friendly making us feel very safe. We definitely hope to return!

We had a nice mini break here! The staff were friendly and most of the facilities were super clean. The kitchen was awesome with its full range of coffees and teas for all, including milk too. It was also filled to the brim with every kitchen gadget you could think of and was free to use. You could rock up with just the food for your BBQ and their kitchen would have you covered from knifes - forks to plates and pans. Showers and toilets were also cleaned regularly and were spotless. The only thing I'd say is we had a few spiders in our cabin and I had to remove them as my son couldn't sleep with them above his head. Maybe this is the real wilderness but I think it would have helped if a feather duster was used before arrival to save me from removing them all. The glampsite had a BBQ outside each wooden cabin; my son loved prepping the fire for it every night. As well as the amazing facilities, it was situated in woodlands offering lots of lovely country walks along the sea and through the woods. Overall, we had a great stay and we will definitely be coming back!
