La Petite Folie : chambres de charme avec jolie jardin, massages, rue calme du centre-ville proche plage Normandie

Este es un hotel muy bonito que está bien ubicado (aunque es ruidoso), pero cualquier aspecto positivo queda eclipsado por la falta de integridad y profesionalismo por parte de la gerencia. En febrero de 2023, revisé mi reserva en línea a los pocos días de haberla reservado originalmente, para hacerlo 2 días antes. Al llegar en septiembre me dijeron que tenía 2 reservas, una segunda después de mi fecha de salida. Esto fue una sorpresa total ya que no había tenido noticias del hotel en 6 meses, excepto para preguntar mi hora de llegada. No se mencionan 2 reservas (ni se mencionan diferentes días de llegada). El gerente extremadamente grosero y arrogante argumentó que además de los 3 días que me quedé, tendría que pagar otros 3 días... eso son más de $1000 que me facturaron a mi tarjeta de crédito. El argumento fue que había cambiado pero no cancelado la reserva, lo que impedía que alguien más reservara la habitación. Eso no era cierto porque el hotel estaba vacío y había varias habitaciones disponibles en varios sitios de reserva de hoteles. Escribí a los propietarios defendiendo mi puesto, pero no estaban interesados. Así que tenga cuidado con La Petite Folie. Su actitud y servicio al cliente deja mucho que desear. Incidentes como estos empañan la reputación de un hotel y arruinaron nuestra estadía. Hay otros hermosos hoteles en Honfleur. Te recomiendo que pruebes esos.

Hermoso hotel ubicado en el corazón de la zona del antiguo puerto cerca de todos los puntos de interés, restaurantes, tiendas y maravillosas galerías. Nos dieron una habitación preciosa y bien equipada que incluía una pequeña cocina y una mesa de comedor. Todo es nuevo y está decorado como una hermosa casa acogedora. El salón de té está abierto las 24 horas, los 7 días de la semana, también hay un bonito jardín y un vestíbulo con juegos de mesa. Con un personal encantador y servicial, no hay nada más que pedir, excepto que no hay ascensor. Muy recomendable!!

We had a large and comfortable room on the second floor. We were met by Valerie who was most helpful in explaining everything that we needed to know, including recommendations for where to eat. There is a beautiful private garden at the rear with a little tea house - hence the name 'La Petite Folie'. This was rather more expensive than we would usually pay, but justified by the exceptional quality of the accommodation. The bedroom has some kitchen facilities built-in, but I doubt that many people use them. Our only minor gripe was that our room ('Michel Serrault') had no shower, only a bath with a shower hose.

We stopped off at La Petit Folie for one night. It was about a 30 minute drive from Le Havre in a really lovely location. We were fortunate enough to have the lovely room at the top. It was very nicely decorated and had lovely automatic velux windows and blinds and was bright and airy. There is really good air con/heating. The bathroom had Rituals shampoo and body wash which was a lovely treat. Very comfortable bed and there is a little kitchen in the room.

Wow. What a find. From the initial communication, to the friendliest of welcomes by Valerie, this superb boutique hotel shows that great things come in small packages! Our room (the Claude Monet) was beautifully furnished and well equipped for a short stay. Make sure you make use of the lovely tea room and terrace lounge chairs in the delightful gardens. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from ample free parking at Boulevard George V, a 2 minute stroll to the heart of Honfleur and a pleasant 15 minute walk to the beach (where there is a lovely little beach bar and restaurant).

I cannot rate this place highly enough! From arrival to departure the whole holiday was gorgeous. The building and our apartment (we stayed in Charles Baudelaire room!) was so pretty and stylish, with lovely details and furniture. The bed was super comfy and kitchenette perfect for cooking - though we mainly ate out at the BILLIONS of restaurants and cafes in Honfleur! Location was also brilliant, you could come in the garden entrance (the garden was lush and felt so secluded and peaceful!)- which overlooked the public park, with the sea behind that, or you could come in the street side entrance, which led you immediately onto a cobbled pretty side road with shops cafes and restaurants further up going into the harbour itself! Apartment was cleaned daily which was a bonus, and you can order breakfast to your room (continental). We had shuttered windows and curtains which were great for blocking out light for sleeping, and when the windows were closed it was silent. I was worried about noise at night, but we slept with the windows open as there was very little noise past 10pm (and I’m a light sleeper!) - and you can always close the windows and have the fan on instead. Valerie and Sucro who run the place were brilliant and so friendly. I can’t rate Valerie’s cakes highly enough- which she bakes daily. We also enjoyed the little orangery in the garden where you can sit and chill out and have coffee/tea or sunbathe on the loungers up there! All in all, we thought it was one of the best places we’ve stayed, they’ve thought of everything, and really good value for money. We WILL BE BACK!
