Villa Cristal holguin

We stayed one night at Villa Cristal and had a wonderful experience - the space is clean and inviting (so many beautiful plants), and gives a great rooftop view of the neighbourhood and nearby Loma de la Cruz. Jorge and his family were very accommodating, and the breakfast they served was the best food we ate in Cuba! Highly recommend and would stay again.

If you want a quiet and comfortable suite, with two outside balconies, excellent service, and food prepared by a master chef that makes one think they are in a luxury Europen resort, look no further than Hostal Villa Cristal. It really is a terrific place, with Jorge the son and Jorge the father, being equally terrific as hosts. Calle Fomento is a busy street, but when you step into the suite on the third floor, you would never know what goes on outside. I grew up with chickens and dogs so the occasional cock - a - doodle - do and a barking dog is fine with me. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return.

We had a very nice time with a clean room with a/c, hot water and great breakfast. The hosts were friendly and made sure we had what we needed as well as wanted. They hosted a special meal for 10 of our friends. Appetizers, main course and desert. Communication was not a problem.

Tout juste de retour de notre voyage dans l'Oriente de Cuba, incluant un séjour merveilleux de 3 nuits à la Villa Cristal de Holguin. Accueil chaleureux par les deux proprios Jorge père et fils. Belle chambre au dernier étage de bonne grandeur avec toutes commodités (Climatisation, fenêtre ouvrant sur la ville, grande armoire, lit double, grande salle de bain toute équipée, grande douche avec eau chaude grand débit) avec sa terrasse privée où on nous a servi le fantastique petit déjeuner. Ce petit déjeuner à 10$ (qui en vaut au moins 2 fois le prix) est tellement copieux qu'il peut vous sustenter jusqu'au soir (jus de fruits frais, morceaux de fruits, crèpe, omelette avec bacon, petits poissons frits, pains et un tres bon café à volonté). L'emplacement de la casa est parfait: dans un quartier populaire tranquille à quelques 15 minutes de marches du centre de Holguin avec ses merveilleux parcs et places publiques et ses restaurants bien approvisionnés (recommandons, entre autres, le 1910, le Bodeguita del Medio et le beau 1720)...et les 485 marches du Loma de la Cruz avec son Belvedere incontournable. Accordez au moins quelques jours à Holguin et dormez au Villa Cristal, vous allez être ravi!
