Voxx Marmaris Beach Resort

Dreadful. No where near marmaris no local anything ! 18 luck guests can catch shuttle bus either morning or evening 30 mins to marmaris to escape the hell ... but bot both! . Black mould in the room on the ceiling and where they have tried to paint iver it. The floor of the room was dirty and there was old hair and crisps under the beds , complaints ignored and no new room offered. Fridge we needed for meds didnt work , they swaped it 3 times and none worked, The same limited food every day Left ot right chicken (ish) mini burgers or liver , overcooked chips. Staff who are rude ! Snap their fingers in your face and chat up young girls , creepy ! . I would not go here again if it were free. Especially knowing what else is available nearere

Once at hotel after it taking 24hrs to get from gatwick, we were taken to the room and presented with a mattress on the floor, i asked them to change rooms as i cant sleep on that to be told they are all like that, when speaking with a couple around the pool i found out they were not i went back and told then not to lie to me and they said they would put the feet back on which they did, god knows why they were off in first place. It was dirty, had ants in the room feeding off dead fies under the bed so clearly had not be cleaned! Wall paper falling off walls, just needs some proper maintenance looks like its just been left which is a shame! Had to ask for clean towels and loo roll several times. Patio door didn't lock and we were ground floor and safe was not screwed down so had to keep passports etc with us wherever we went! Food made us ill, food not cooked properly and so bad! I lived on soup and bread all holiday only good thing after that is i probably lost weight! Went for meal on last night in marmaris as we needed to eat something, takes 30 mins on shuttle bus to get there!

If your looking for a quiet relaxing hotel by the beach then the Voxx is for you. If you like going out to bars and restaurants be aware that the Voxx is Very remote being 18km from Marmaris 25mins in a 25 euro taxi although the hotel does a free shuttle twice a day 10am return at pm and 6pm return 11.30pm .Be aware that the twice we took the evening shuttle we were approached by a private bus driver saying the shuttle had been cancelled and he would take everyone back for 5€ each only for the shuttle to turn up 10mins late. The hotel itself is an ok standard but needs some TLC 3 star at best it only has 1 bar 1 pool and 1 restaurant The food was average but we always found something and never went hungry Standard AI breakfast but no fresh juices and only had oranges or apple for fruit. There was made to order omelette and pancakes which we both enjoyed Lunch was burgers chicken and salads with the dessert section which was very good Evening meal same as lunch but with some live cooking and a pasta dish Every meal came with wasps . The only Bar is outside by the pool and restaurant also is handy to take drinks to the beach. The beer is Tuborg which was OK and the spirits were local brands .there was a cocktail list and the staff would have a go at anything requested with mixed results Entertainment was hosted by Jimmy consisted of pool darts table tennis and water polo in the daytime ,at night there was a Turkish night Latin dancers and a live band all quite good the other nights just had cash bingo . The pool area was nice maybe lacking a few loungers The beach right outside of the hotel had great views but needed cleaning and the parasols loungers were in a poor state . In summary the Voxx did what it says on the tin a reasonable priced quiet holiday in the sun. we met some great people that made the holiday special .with a few improvements the Voxx could be so much better .

Could not fault in the slightest. Was worried after seeing some bad reviews, but as a first couples holiday, had no problems at all. Flights and transfers We booked through on the beach, and the flight and transfer went smoothly. Flightwise, we booked seats and paid £20 reserving seats online, but didn’t for the return as the first flight wasn’t full at all so I’d advise just checking in online and not reserving seats but do this at your own risk. Transfer was easy to find and also stopped off as we has an early flight. We did get a shuttle initially, but then me and my boyfriend got dropped off in marmaris and had a private transfer from there, which was nice. Check in was easy and very welcoming and there was 2 doggies in the lobby too. They gave us a map of Marmaris, and the times for breakfast, snack time, lunch, dinner etc in a welcome pack. The rooms Rooms were cleaned everyday, however they didn’t leave coffee or replace the water, but we didn’t mind as you could refill water and put it in the fridge and get coffee at breakfast and at the bar too. The room was spacious and I emailed before going requesting a second floor room as I had booked sea view, which was perfect. Some other reviews complained about lack of space, but ours was fine we didn’t mind taking clothes out of the suitcase and putting it underneath the dressing table again. If your not nit picky, youll wont care abt some scratches on the wallpaper as others have mentioned, you wont stay in the room anyway. Food Food was fine, had to be a bit creative but we both an allergy so had to be a bit cautious. I just google translated nut/fish allergy and showed it to a member of staff if I was unsure. Inside has more traditional food usually rice, potatoes, fish, turkey and outside had more british food such as chicken goujons, chips, burgers etc, for lunch and dinner. We just got bread and made our own chicken burgers out of it with some salas. Breakfast you could have an omelette made with whatever toppings you’d like, boiled eggs, toast, beans, bread etc. There were a lot of flies but considering the dining area is outside you cant really expect anything else, so if you’re scared of flies keep that in mind. Bar and beach Beach is so lovely, pictures dont do it justice at all and the scenery is amazing. So many mountains and the sunset is beautiful. Bar is great, will make u any drink but stops at midnight, so double up towards the end. Location Out of the way from Marmaris, so quite remote. There is one shop you can go to for snacks, cigarettes, toiletries etc where Aybay Apart is on Maps, as when we asked for directions we got a bit confused and used this instead, which took us straight to it. The hotel do specific stuff every night, such as bingo, white party and live music, but Jimmy who runs this is away until 15th so unsure what theyll run. Well what can I say. We had the best holiday we have ever had. We arrived at hotel 7:30 am by a very welcoming receptionist. Who just said breakfast is being served go and get food first. The rooms were lovely clean and cool. Air-con, fridge, lovely waterfall shower, lovely outside area and bed so comfy. Hotel and ground where beautiful kept pool area very clean with beautiful loungers like beds. You can also get beach towels from reception every day. Bar is well stocked and bar staff excellent. Recommend Turkish coffee delicious. I would highly recommend champagne and sushi sun set ask reception. The food was lovely and the views unbelievable. My other half is fussy and ate everyday (and not just chips ) It was very fresh and varied. I must say I miss my omelette every morning wanted to take Mr omelette man with me. Beach was awesome beds comfy and the views were spectacular. The staff from the cleaners to management were amazing. What a wonderful team. They couldn’t be more helpful. You could tell that they loved their job. There are a couple of people that were outstanding Jimmy (entertainment). What a nice man and fantastic at his job. We have had Turkish dancers, singers, water polo and much more Kept us entertained all week. Bless him doesn’t stop. And of course Magic Mike the rep he was always there to give advice and just supported you during your holiday. Excursion are great I recommend Jeep safari and relaxing boat trip fabulous. They also offer free shuttle to Marmaris Also there is a lovely shop 5min walk they are well priced and very kind. If I was going to give constructive criticism it would be to have member of staff to collect rubbish from beach. Thank you to all staff for making our holiday so good. We will be back in October thank you once again.

I travelled here with my sister and was pleasantly surprised overall with the standard of this hotel/resort considering what we paid. If we could have chosen any room, it would've been ours (2121). It was clean and the towels/sheets were constantly changed. Our cleaning lady was always cheerful and smiling. Day 1 there was a problem with the aircon which was resolved within 10 minutes and remained working throughout the rest of our stay. Food was typical for AI......there was always something to eat - soup was delicious and our daily ice cream treat was served up but a lovely girl with a permanent smile on her face. Cocktails can be tweaked to your liking. Beer and white wine were surprisingly good. Bar and waitress staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient. What to say about Jimmy......he just makes everything tick along nicely and is a true asset to this resort. He takes the time to talk to everyone. We didn't expect a rep but found Mike was there for everyone......not pushy, but recommending trips which would suit. We went on this holiday for a chill out but did do the lazy cruise and would highly recommend . We loved our time here and would recommend to anyone wanting a chilled out stay, away from the hussle of a busy town. A few tweaks and this could be a 4/5* resort.......more storage/drawers in room and replenishment of tea/coffee/milk daily using china (not paper) cups. Go along and see for yourself........you'll love it
