Комплекс Вилл с бассейном рестораном и Спа занимает склон возвышенности в отдалении от моря и суеты.Сверху открывается вид на джунгли и рисовые поля. Пространство внутри продумано с прекрасным вкусом и чувством . Проезжая огромные ворота каменной стены попадаешь в особый мир где все происходит ради тебя и для твоего комфорта и удовольствия. Изысканная еда, дети отказались ужинать в других местах, ну и мы были не против. Спа процедуры на высочайшем уровне. Массаж мне делал Дулиб, он же проводил занятия йогой по утрам. Думал забрать его с собой;). Наш Батлер Таранга очень приятный человек- добрый, дети полюбили его. Джесси - местный полиглот, хоть и не был нашим батлером, очень помогал веселиться и по делу, например отвез нас в дайвклуб и на рынке торговался. Управляющий Умберто, итальянец с особом взглядом на то , каким должен быть сервис в отеле. Он постоянно и ненавязчиво присутствует где то рядом, что не обычно . Провожал нас в 5 утра. Во всем и в каждом чувствуешь особый подход и отношение к своей персоне! Повара, румсервис, даже уборщики и охрана-очень дружелюбны и создают атмосферу наивысшего комфорта.

Hikkaduwa Saffron Hotel fue el primer hotel de nuestro viaje, así que pensé mucho al elegirlo. Aquellos a quienes les gustan los hoteles antiguos, vengan, la cama con gabinete, el escritorio de la cama Luohan, cumplen con todos sus requisitos de calidad retro, llena de sabor antiguo. Sin embargo, las modernas instalaciones de lavado y aire acondicionado no le harán sentir que la vida es inconveniente, y elegimos la habitación del segundo piso, que es súper grande y tiene una buena vista. Cuando quisimos cambiarnos a una cama doble, agregamos una cama individual gratis sin decir nada, para que pudiéramos descansar bien. El servicio del hotel es muy bueno, hacemos snorkel después del check out, y podemos regresar al hotel para tomar una ducha. La desventaja es que el precio es pequeño y caro.

Para ser saludado por su cara sonriente cada mañana era todo. Ha hecho todo lo que podía para hacer nuestra estadía inolvidable. No hay nada de lo que sería demasiado, y nos disfrutamos de conversar con él y escuchar historias de su vida después de la cena en la noche. Las comidas estaban tan saborosas y como vegetariana que estaba bien cocinada. La vista del lago fue atractiva y incluso tuvimos un monitor de agua nadar cada mañana. Algunas memorías increíbles hechas. Gracias por todo lo que hizo por nosotros. ¡Estaremos de vuelta!

My favourite hotel in the country. The beachside location is excellent and the design of the hotel is very modern and stylish. Beautiful and spacious rooms overlook an infinity pool facing the beach, with all the commodities one would expect from a luxury hotel. The staff are very friendly and professional, readily accommodating even the smallest requests with efficiency. The rooftop bar is also a great place to relax with comfortable seating for large groups and great views of Hikkaduwa beach from above. The live music is always spot on, with different musicians performing in the evenings from Wednesday to Sunday, perfectly complementing the chilled atmosphere of the venue. A special mention must be made to the food. Every item on the menu tastes amazing and the selection for all three meals has a lot of variety. The seafood platter is my personal favourite but the Japanese menu is second to none, especially the crispy crab maki rolls. Easily the best sushi in Sri Lanka, outclassing most places offering a similar selection abroad. Highly recommend this hotel for a luxurious and satisfying stay. Even if you are not staying here, the restaurant is well worth a visit for anyone who is passing by hikkaduwa.

Hmmm - I read the reviews and brought high expectations I Suppose. They were not met. This place is reasonable or average but it’s very basic accomodation for the price. I reckon you can do better. Enjoyed the area. We arrived about 2 am and it took an hour to check in. To be fair this was all in the middle of a shocking storm. The rooms are very basic - no mosquito beds - pretty run down. But they were cleaned very well every day. The pool is a not as glamorous as the photos make it to be. Hard to get a towel and help with a sun bed. All fine but the rapturous reviews meant I was expecting more. The breakfast service was really good. The front desk service pretty unhelpful. We went down into the more populated areas of Hikka for dinner - lots of great places on the beach and the food was high quality. The vibes all good. But going back to the hotel - and the bugs in the room etc - and the rattling windows and doors - reminded me of staying at a highway motel. Perhaps the problem was my expectations. I will return to Hikka, but I’d stay somewhere else.

After our roundtrip we had 8 days to relax. We got an upgrade to King Suite due to our long stay (thank you so much!!) and really loved this room on the 2nd floor. Rooms are clean and (speaking about the Suite) spacious. There are overall 6 rooms (three 1st floor, three 2nd floor). Great pool, makes it possible to train (if you really want to - during your holidays). Staff is extremely friendly and attentive, Reception, Pool and technical service (thanks, Sugath for preparing the sunbeds every day at the newly built umbrella on the beach) were great, Restaurant service (the two young guys were amazing), Kitchen (we never went out for dinner because the food in restaurant was so good) - the cook was recommending a dish every day - and surprised us with different preparations. Extra wishes no problem. Manager Warna always had time for a chat and made us feel welcome. Please allow us one hint: the Bathroom could be renovated a little bit (for example the blinds between the bathroom and the sleeping room) It was in a way like being part of the family for those 8 days. Thanks also for the opportunity to stay in the room until the evening of the departure day - free of charge - this is not a given. Location is a bit outside of Hikkaduwa (roundabout 25 min. beach walk to turtle point) but not too far - Tuk Tuk or even walkintg to the center no problem. Perfect for long walks on the beach. Sea is a bit rough but ”manageable”. We recommend this Hotel.
