Villa Saffron Hikkaduwa

My regret is that I didn't stay here more nights. The service was excellent. The beach and pool were so beautiful. There is a good Italian pizza restaurant close by if you're craving something other than local food.

The villa is lovely, and we had an excellent and relaxing stay. Sunil and the staff went out of there to make sure that we were well looked after, and made us feel at home. The food was great, the place was clean and extremely comfortable. We will definitely visit again!

I stayed at Villa Saffron recently with my mum and my daughter. From the minute we arrived Sunil and the team were on hand for anything we wanted! (Even offering to send someone out to buy wine for us!) My daughter who is 5 was so well looked after and any food she requested was made with no fuss (even down to pancakes at breakfast!) She had Fish Fingers and chips every night and loved it! The complimentary afternoon tea was so thoughtful too! The pool area is lovely and my daughter spent most of her time in there. With there only being 5 rooms this Villa is so quiet and so peaceful and I would definitely recommend!

Stop looking and get booking if you want luxury, peace and tranquillity - before its too late. If you want pure luxury, fully taken care of and a quiet unspoilt setting - book this beautiful Villa. If you're a details person read on............ Ideally I wouldn't write this review, through through pure selfishness so that when I want to book again there is availability! Villa Saffron is the ONLY place I have EVER wanted to return to, and we have travelled quite extensively over the years. Sunil is one of the most thoughtful people and is keen to ensure your stay is perfect, he caters for all your needs, and is able to offer advice for places to go and see. Kason is also a key member of the team who is also very helpful, either one is available at the property 24 hours a day so you feel confident you are in safe hands. All the team ensure the Villa is spotless and everything is available for you, they go about their work quietly without disturbance in their polite and charming manner. The beach is glorious, it is swept each day by properties and restaurants to ensure it is maintained and free of any debris (though there is little anyhow). To the left, you will find a long, peaceful walk with scatterings of bars, go to Catamaran - run by Sunil (a different Sunil to Villa Saffron) and his family. To the right there are lots of bars and restaurants, a short walk along you will find surfers racing the waves and places you can stop and watch. There are fishing boats which go out at night and if you are lucky you may find them pulling their catch in as you are eating breakfast, it was exhausting just watching them! We stayed in the Saffron Suite which was stunning, and huge. The balcony offered a glimpse of the sunset and provided some much needed shade at the end of the day. Outside the 2 rooms upstairs there is a seating area inside and another on the balcony, these can be used by other guests but as there are just 5 rooms at this property and there are seating areas downstairs there is so much space we found we were able to be on our own most of the time.

A wonderful weeks stay in a beautiful boutique hotel. Sunil and his staff were very attentive and made our stay memorable enough to rebook again for next year. Highly recommend, perfect for couples who wish to chill and relax. Excellent food and service

Mr. Sunil and his team made our holidays special as usual, they did their best to make our stay unforgettable pleasant 🙏🏻 best Restaurant in Hikkaduwa for sure, we didn’t wont to eat some were coz Chief in Villa Saffron did his best!
