Live in Budapest, this is written more for tourists to Hévíz and the Ensana Thermal Aqua. Easy to access by public transport direct by Volan Bus from Budapest, or train from the Budapest Déli or south station in Buda, to Keszthely, then frequent buses to Hévíz (10 minutes). On foot from the bus station Ensana Thermal Aqua was easy to find, about 20 minute walk, use the central lake as your destination and landmark, walk past with lake entrance on left, another 2-300m to main road, turn right continue about 200m, you will see Ensana Aqua. Check in 2 minutes, room all good inc bed, bathroom, can open window, smart tv with screen share and room service (unclear what menu was). Guests were a mix from young couples with young children, many middle aged and older Hungarians, plus many Germans too; German, French or English is available and it’s ‘old school’ guests and personnel are polite and smile. One did the all inclusive offer for three nights and access to hotel’s hot pools inside/out, and larger pool outside if you wish to swim laps; gowns and towels provided (in room), bring your own beach slippers or flip flops. Dining area large, garden view (terrace too), comfortable seating and self serve starting breakfast inc hot foods 7-10, and 10-11 continental only light breakfast breakfast. Lunch 12-14, afternoon tea 15.00 then dinner 18-21; with all inclusive free soft drinks, beer & wine lunch/dinner then most of the pm after 15.00 inc. lobby bar (see time table picture) Food was good quality, changing and fresh variety, for vegetarians too: salads, soups, breads, pasta, vegetables, rice/potato, then 3-4 meat dishes inc a chicken, beef, pork or fish; many dessert choices too (think gluten &/or sugar free too). One’s advice is to first have a look around at all the food choices, plan your attack, small portions and take your time…. you are not going to miss out :)
