Porto Plazza Hotel

Don't choose this hotel, I wouldn't wish on anyone what I experienced in a week. Money badly spent. We are more tired than before the holidays. The room was nasty, the bathroom was disgusting, neglected, we were afraid to take a bath... No hairdryer, the air conditioning was old and DAMN loud, even with earplugs it didn't let me sleep, it was located right above the bed, the boy was totally sick. And no air conditioning - hot, there is no air conditioning in the corridors, so there is a sauna. We only use the balcony as a drying room because we have no view, dry grass and neighbors on all four sides. Terrible light everywhere, hospital atmosphere, we bought candles so as not to light this crap, at least in the evening. The fridge leaks and turns off when you leave the room, so I don't recommend keeping food there because it will spoil. Wardrobes without doors, so the atmosphere is constantly crap. A drawer with a falling handle. I wanted to pay extra and change the room. I was given two options "one class higher" with an additional fee of €50. Unfortunately, both of them were not suitable, moldy curtains, a hairdryer that didn't work, the bathroom door was locked and couldn't be opened (I feel sorry for someone who got stuck when choosing this room). Insomnia is a daily occurrence here due to the noise and general "conditions". Food - Very little choice and monotony, I feel sorry for people who bought all inclusive here. Service - nice, apart from one gentleman, we don't know if he was the boss, but he shouted at the guy who accidentally closed our door once with the keys inside (just take a spare one from the cleaner/receptionist and that's it) - he started SCREAMING furious that if the situation happened again this will charge us 10 euros for each day extra. XD In short - they should pay us extra for being able to survive here at all. Drama, avoid it if you want to relax and spend a nice holiday in a cozy place and at least have some relaxation. This place turned our vacation into a nightmare. Nie wybieraj tego hotelu, nie życzę nikomu tego, co przeżyłam w tydzień. Fatalnie wydane pieniądze. Jesteśmy bardziej zmęczeni niż przed wakacjami. Pokój paskudny, łazienka obrzydliwa, zaniedbana, brzydziliśmy się kąpać… Brak suszarki, klima stara CHOLERNIE glosna nawet ze stoperami do uszu nie daje mi spać, usytuowana tuż nad łóżkiem, chłopak jest totalnie chory. A bez klimy - ukrop, na korytarzach brak klimy przez co jest sauna. Balkon sluzy nam tylko jako suszarnia bo nie mamy żadnego widoku, suche badyle i sąsiedzi z 4stron. Wszędzie paskudne światło, szpitalny klimat, kupiliśmy sobie świeczki, żeby tego syfu nie świecić chociaż wieczorem. Lodówka cieknąca, wyłącza się po wyjściu z pokoju, więc nie radzę trzymać tam jedzenia, bo się zepsuje. Szafy bez drzwi, więc panuje ciągle syfiasty klimat. Szuflada z odpadającą klamka. Chciałam dopłacić i zmienić pokój dostałam 2 możliwości „o klasę wyżej” z dopłatą 50€ niestety obydwa się nie nadawały, spleśni

12 of us went for 2 weeks in June for an all inclusive fun holiday ! The rooms were ok , very bare and it wasn’t cleaned in the 2 weeks !, towels were changed every 3-4 days . The sun beds were awful ,hard and a mish mash of designs and only about 10 mattresses around the pool . The food was edible ( if you like salad everyday ) the hot food was practically the same everyday !very bland and sloppy. But the worst part was the all inclusive bar😂😂😂 the only drinks included were beer.awful wine,ouzo ,a bottle of spirit of no name , whatever you asked for you were served stuff out of this bottle , and mixers were roll cola or lemonade , no diet products but if you wanted a local spirit whiskey,vodka ,rum etc it cost 3 euros a shot ,! I know that’s not expensive but it was supposed to be an ALL INCLUSIVE holiday !!!!!! We go away twice a year as a group and we will never go back to that hotel , very disappointing!!!!

I'm just back from Porto plaza hotel and I had a lovely relaxing time. Fantastic location right on the main street and the transfer bus dropped us off outside it. I enjoyed the food although alot of it was the same each day. Fresh salad every lunch & dinner. Muscles one day, fish meat & soup dish every day, deserts. Few teas,coffee & hot chocolate at a machine at the bar and in the restaurant. Variety of breads. Cheese every day. Reception staff very helpful. Always got a sun bed, music not overly loud at pool and a good variety , excellent barman who was very pleasant to chat to, everyone liked him but no one has mentioned him. I dropped a star because of the all inclusive drinks, the only ok drinks where beer and wine. Soft drinks and water was served via a pipe with lever he just pressed the button for whatever drink was required. They all tasted vile, like a chemical taste, not sure if this was caused by the gas or what, I couldn't drink them. We bought our own bottled water and soft drinks. Wine took a couple of glasses to get used to. I don't like the other AI drinks ouzo & raki, I tried them, not my taste. Ouzo like aniseed. I would of given another star if the water was good but it was undrinkable, even the staff drank bottled water I noticed. If you wanted vodka, gin whisky etc you had to pay €3.50. This is an honest review.

Firstly hotel , is in a great location , main strip , but bare in mind transfers will drop you off down the road & you have to make your way to the hotel ( if you can call it that, by yourself ! No water or any food on arrival. We were there for 2 weeks , room never cleaned , we took our fob off our key to charge iPad !!!! That’s a big no no , we were made to feel like criminals, and they welded the key so it couldn’t be taken off ! Just beer or rum included . vodka , gin etc all need to pay for , Don’t know where to start with the food , I have videos , but couldn’t load , so screenshots from the videos added . About 2 meters of food on offer , that was it , nothing labelled , and was awful, what was given the night time was used for breakfast ( chips used to top some form of omelette, even green beans chucked in from the night before . We spent 2 weeks eating out , even the drinks from the bar , had a sewage smell , oh and not forgetting , you clean up after yourself , scrapping your plates and taking all your used cutlery, cups onto a trolly !!! Wasn’t a restaurant! We called it a canteen. I understand it was only a small hotel , with only a handful of staff , but the standards were not kept , a broken glass door in the canteen, which was fixed on our second week , a dirty water fountain, which looked like someone had taken a pee in it , a concrete roof terrace, which was a complete mess , yes a beer house ( pub) next door offering 20% discount, but was owned by the hotel , so hotel serving shocking food and drink in the hotel , but can buy decent meals & alcohol in the pub !!! This might be a brutal review , but it’s an honest one .

Staff fantastic. Rooms very dirty and dated. Showers need updating badly. Not enough sunbeds . All inclusive only includes beer and a disgusting wine finishes at 10pm. Cheap it maybe and it shows. Food not good. Eat out is my tip at the white horse up the road. Take some bleach . Clean towels daily but sheets not changed in 14 nights and floor not mopped.

This hotel is ok. Clean and tidy but there is only a few things that let this down. 1: the food is average but not appealing . 2: all inclusive or lack of it. No. Spirts are included and the beer is watered down and overall the drinks are poor after being there for 9days and then having to eat out most of the time. The only food that was ok was bread and olive oil. The beer house next door gives you 20 per cent of drinks and food But is still expensive if you have a large family. 3: all the staff are ok. But beware of the last day of your holiday as if you have a late evening flight you have to be out of your room by. 11am we were told that if we pay £20 euros we could have extra so we paid this only to be told that. At 5 pm that we have to vacate our room after stating that we paid extra for a bit longer was told you have had till 5. So we had to pack up and put all our luggage in the luggage bag. And wait in the lobby’s at least they allow you to continue your all inclusive please I not trying to sound bad about this hotel but they need to cater for English people to and put on entertainment as soon as it turns 10 pm they close everything up even the overall the resort is lovely and close to everything plenty of other hotels within distance we met some amazing people there that really made our holiday and made some new friends/ memories
