The Noverian Scenic Crete 5 Star Hilltop Villa Resort & Spa

Stayed as a family of 4 for 9 days in mid August 2025, 2 adults and 2 children. Positives: Remote hill top location in Old Town Malia - 10/10 (might be a negative for others but that was what we wanted). Villas with private 10m to 15m length pools (10/10). Overall the teams were very helpful and did their best to support. Amazing unobstructed views of Malia from your balcony from the hill top location (10/10). Notable mentions; Alexia at the front desk, New lady in the restaurant from Romania, Male supervisor / manager who helped us after we got locked out of the villa with 2 keys at night. Saw someone check the chemical level in the private pool once so this was quite reassuring. Met the new owner at dinner whilst the teams were stressfully trying to work out our bill for a new menu and he said he his aware of what they need to improve on and service is not were he wants it to be, it is always better to know your development areas. Negatives: Attention to detail I.e. 1 bed was missing its top layer for the first 3 nights (we were politely told that it was a weekend and the person in charge was away!). Very easy to lock yourself out of the villa because of the safety feature on the doors. Service in the restaurant needs to be improved as being remote, families are happy to stay onsite and dine in but unfortunately this is a missed opportunity from the hotel I.e. Catering options are very limited and the menu cards needs to be reviewed so it’s easier to read and understand what you are ordering and paying for. We stayed in the second to the last villa (Margarita 407) and had noise and disturbances from what we believe was coming from the staff accommodation between 1am & 3am on 3 separate nights, the noises were of adults arguing and maybe fighting - my family were quite worried but we hoped if it got any worse the local police would surely intervene!! No locks on the bathroom or toilet doors so be prepared for anyone in your group to accidentally walk in.. Hot water in the tap & shower is extremely boiling hot and can easily scold your skin (need to have a sign to alert all especially children). Toilet / Shower room on the lower floor in the 2 bedroom villas should have a solid divider as water gets everywhere and makes the space quite unusable after a shower.

The villa overlooking Malia is paradise. Best accommodation I've stayed in and we have stayed some beautiful places. But it's the staff who made the place a palace, they couldn't be more helpful. Olga on reception sorted our car and boat trip And honestly treated us like royalty. But the main guy that made our holiday and will be a friend for life is giannis, he is so cool, fun and makes the hotel what it is. 10/10

What can I say about this place? Just came back from a memorable week in Seehund 1. From the very first Moment we felt like home. Warm and cozy, immaculously clean, nicely decorated, sufficiently and very well equipped, just 80-100m away from the Baltic sea, suitable for both couples and families.... The house offers unique tranquility and an escape from every day routine and reality, which you abundantly receive. I could continue but I do not want to speak long. We absolutely and without a second thought recommend this place. ❤️

This is a must stay hotel. The location offers stunning views over Malia. The facilities are 5 star. If you are looking for a quiet getaway this is the place. The pool and surrounding area is well maintained with an ambutance of space and plenty of sunbeds..no rushing from breakfast to claim your sunbed for the day. The staff and customer service take the hotel to another level - exceptional. Athena, the hotel receptionist, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We can't thank her enough. Maria was also very helpful when we needed help..nothing was ever a bother. Dimmitto, in the restaurant, always greeted us with a smile, ensuring breakfast was an enjoyable experience. Last but not least, Dimmas was friendly, with an engaging personality. A great person to know. The owners should be proud that they are represented by such exceptional staff. The friendliest hotel I’ve visited. Everyone is so welcoming and make you feel special I visited with my parents as took them on holiday for 70th birthdays. They loved their stay. It’s a peaceful resort as you are up on the hill, no scramble for a pool lounger, plenty of space and easy to get a cold beer! If you want somewhere where you can get some peace this is the perfect place. I can’t thank the team enough for our amazing stay
