We had such a wonderful time here , the staff were brilliant particularly Brighton and wayne they always went above and beyond for us helping us with getting dinner and advising on places to go. Brighton was such a wonderful staff member absolutley went above and beyond for us every day such a hardworker ,polite and careing a credit to your establishment for sure !!! The ladies that made breakfast absolutley stellar and always so freindly ( the muffins they make are the best ive everhad ) . As a honeymoon couple we were give a upgrade room which was such a treat we stayed in songbird room absolutley beautiful!!!! On our last day before our transfer we went down to the clif walk and managed to see a southern right whale breach the water from the path OMG amazing Thank you guys for making our stay so special We hope to see you again soon Sioned + Dan xx

Absolutely outstanding accommodation with delightful, attentive staff with panoramic views over Grotto Bay and whales! Pool table, table tennis and comfortable seating areas. We were blessed with the Southern Right suite which included a huge log burner, complimentary night caps and chocolates. We felt so indulged and thoroughly appreciated it. Thank You All

We stayed at Mosselberg on Grotto and had the best experience we've had in a long time. The Southern Right suite was absolutely amazing with arguably the best views in Hermanus straight fromour room. Staff are super friendly and helpful. We will definately be back. THank you.

The whole property was spotless.Our room was absolutely stunning. Spacious beyond words. The bathroom was beautiful. The views from our room were spectacular. James was so friendly! We loved it so much we cancelled our dinner reservation and ordered a takeaway!! We will be booking the same room again and recommend anyone to do likewise.

Stunning beach house a few miles out of Hermanus. The beautiful beach is 5 minutes walk from the property. The house had five rooms and ours, the Southern View Suite was on the 1st floor with an exceptional view of the bay. The room was huge with the biggest bathroom I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Breakfast was served daily on the deck, and was excellent. All rooms were occupied when we stayed, but you had the feeling that the whole house was yours. A number of lounges and outdoor seating areas added to the calmness of the property. The pool area was beautiful. One of the duty managers was excellent in suggesting restaurants, taxi services and what not to miss in Hermanus. Don’t miss the Saturday craft market! An excellent three night experience. We hope to return one day for the whale watching season.

My wife and I stayed at Mosselberg for 3 nights and cannot compliment it high enough. We stayed in a huge bedroom suite overlooking Grotto Beach and the views were outstanding. The room was spotlessly clean with an incredible attention to detail including a little extra surprise drink on turndown. The breakfast included everything you would require from fresh fruit to pastries and a huge variety of hot food. Overall a great find and we will be back.

Although not in the center of Hermanus town (fine by us and a 5 minute drive) this lovely hotel was delightful from start to finish. The building itself is beautifully designed, calm & peaceful. The pool area is a little oasis and heated! Plenty of room to lounge indoors and out, internal courtyard view or sea view. Our room was huge, overlooking the bay so whale watching was done from the balcony. The sheets truly are the most luxurious I have ever slept on, 2 very comfy armchairs, plenty of storage and the personal touches - an evening turndown service where they leave you a note and a digestif, the tea, coffee and snacks are most welcome. Linda was super helpful when we arrived at 5pm with no fixed plan she recognized our need for a plan for dinner and a whale watching trip and got straight to it by organizing both. The restaurant you can walk to (Dutchies) doesn't look much but the food was fresh and delicious with lovely staff. An interesting walk through the Milkwood and onto the coastal path was great from right outside the property. Oh and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Choose this place to stay, you won't be disappointed.

We visited this guest house just after the terrible storm whilst there was still a water shortage so we were unable to use the shower or bath. The room was large and comfortable with a fantastic view of the sea and we also saw some whales. The breakfast was very good. However it is quite a long way from the main town and there is really only one place to eat within walking distance. There is an outside pool but don't think this is heated. Nice little touches like a night time drink left in the room. However given the circumstances and the weather we probably did not see this place in its best light.

The hotel is located in the perfect spot, near to the beach, perfect for a walk. Staff is great and very helpful. Breakfast 10/10. Everything is very clean and well maintained, just perfect! Only stayed for one night unfortunately, definitely a mistake.
