Red Roof Inn & Suites Herkimer

We’ve been staying here for 30 years. Convenient, comfortable, familiar. Clean breakfast room and simple spread with good variety. The key for me is the great shower head … but I think the mattress is the same one we slept on for our first visit here a few decades ago.

The staff was super helpful and friendly. BeekA in the breakfast room was great helping us find locations in Herkimer for all our needs. They made sure we had the room we needed for our elderly mother. And the location was exactly what we were looking for.

If you want to have a happy experience with a hotel stay, Red Roof Inn & Suites in Herkimer, NY is the right place. The personnel are amiable and accommodating, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is great for commuting to different destinations in the area. Breakfast in the morning is delicious and fulfilling. Upon entering the breakfast room, one can’t help but notice a very pleasant, hardworking girl named Rachel. She is an employee who oversees stacking and re-stacking the food, making sure the coffee pump pot thermoses are filled with fresh hot coffee, keeping the tables clean, and thus creating a pleasant, inviting atmosphere. For the last two years, I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions, both by myself and with my family, and I always felt safe and welcome. I also wanted to express my gratitude to manager Paul Brown, and Todd, Erick, and Lynn at the front desk. Their willingness to help and service exceeded my expectations. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Very nice facility. Clean and well tended to. The rooms are updated and modern. The grounds are well kept and seasonally decorated. All the staff was very nice, especially Rachel in the breakfast room; she keeps everything well stocked and clean at all times.

Very clean breakfast area. Kept clean by Rachel. We would definitely recommend staying here. We hope to return again. Rachel was friendly, quiet and did an excellent job of making sure everything we needed was there. She disinfected the tables.

Used this motel as a base for visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame. From Herkimer it's a very scenic 30-niute drive along the shore of Lake Oswego to Cooperstown. Keeping in mind Red Roof is only a two star property, can confirm is was clean, family friendly and had a good selection of DirectTV channels. The only cons are some freeway and train noise, and a somewhat small bathroom.

We have been driving for about 11 hours and wasted 2 of those trying to find a place to stay. Dark and rainy and towing a boat we finally found this Red Roof Inn in Herkimer. Tired and frustrated I walked in to get a room and as our luck would have it they were booked solid. As I was getting back into the truck a gentleman came rushing out and told me he just had a cancelation. What a godsend. I want to thank Todd Lynn and the woman working with him. And the room was clean and comfortable!!

We stayed in the Red Roof in Hermiker for one night on our way to Maine. The people working the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast choices were minimal but enough for us. Our room appeared to be clean when we entered, but after we were in room for awhile we found the floors to be very dirty. They needed a good cleaning with a steam cleaner.
