It was such a lovely experience, and I will definitely be back! The hotel is very pretty, the staff uniforms are so charming. It’s far bigger than I expected, and I am not really a fan of big hotels. But this really felt great! The highlight was the restaurant visit in the evening, our waiter, Chris, was fabulous and sweet. Another great highlight was the morning yoga, and then supping/paddle boarding. It was so much fun, and the guy to teach us was above and beyond. I never got his name, but he really gave us an amazing experience. A few things to drag it down: the receptionists seemed bothered every time you approached. Not even asking “how was your stay” when you check out… But the worst for me was the rude housekeeper. We purchased a late check out at 13:00 instead of 11:00. 11:30 a housekeeper knocks, walks in (as I am naked) and walks out again. Not even apologising. My fiancé walks out, says there is a do not disturb sign on the door, and the grumpy housekeeper just says “yes but it is time to check out!”. I understand that she just did not get the message from reception, and that can happen, but choose your words like “I apologise, do you have a late check out?” would have saved it for me… Regardless, the rest was so wonderful, I cannot wait to come back!

酒店是青年旅館，但是出乎意料挺自在，工作人員都很和善，後面一個沙灘，還有早餐雖然比較簡單但是基本該有的也有了。離中央車站1，2公里，走路25分鐘左右，打車100多rmb，公交也有，我們沒坐，所以不清楚價格，和酒店無關感覺這個城市公共交通不太便利。

I arrived in this hotel with my mother and a little dog. We were placed in a beautiful room with access to the courtyard. Immediately upon check-in, a pleasant surprise waited us - bowls and food for my dog. It was very nice. En torno al hotel hay una naturaleza increíble y una gran zona para caminar, mi perro ​​ estaba feliz. También hay acceso al mar. Buen cena y muy útil camarero. También un desayuno muy variado. Estabamos muy contentos con nuestra estadía en Højstrupgård. Muchas gracias a todo el personal del hotel por hacer este lugar aún mejor! ¡Seremos definitivamente de vuelta!

The small Hotel Hamlet is a strange little hotel. Helsingør is a beautiful little town and well worth a visit. If you do decide to stay the night, worth it as this is one of the most charming places on earth, I wouldn't discount staying here because the staff are very nice and helpful and the location is really very good, near the water and the train station. Although our room was on a corner and had lots of light, it smelled just terribly of old dirty shoes. The carpet we suspected. We bought a bottle of Febreze and nearly used it all in three days. We left our windows open to air things out until we missed closing them before dusk and had to contend with mosquitos. The Saturday traffic is quite crazy and the hotel is across from one of the loudest bars in town, which was loud until 2am when patrons streamed out, so if you do decide to stay at the hotel ask for a room in the back if you wish to sleep on Saturday night. The bathroom had no window so got very warm if the door was closed. If you are there on Sunday there are only a couple of restaurants that are open in the evening so be aware of that as well. One last thing, the staff was so helpful, that when I thought I had left my new Italian sandals in our room and asked them to check after we left-they did not find the sandals but they made sure to look and emailed us back, be aware though that they do not staff the hotel after 7pm so make sure you are all set before then.
